I think Frye's issue is his confidence. He was playing so well in his rookie season because he as just coming off his UofA career in which he played really well. (too bad it had to end with that terrible loss to illinois...)

After his injury, he was hesitant. He lost his PT and had trouble finding that swagger and rhythm again. Last year with Portland, he couldn't get any consistent playing time.

if we keep amare and cant get chandler, i'd say give him a chance. he can spread the floor for amare, would play C so amare wouldn't have to, and we all saw the confidence gentry built in dragic. he could probably do the same with frye.

Exactly what I was thinking or hoping. He was playing well in his rookie year. So you know he has ability. I think confidence is the issue. Take it from me, I played WR in college and I had A case of the drops for awhile, my thought process was don't drop it, instead of this is six!!! Confidence is everything!!

I can still remember those drops too, Nevada 2, Montana 1 and Montana St 1. Two were TD's ugh!!!!!!

Nothing wrong with Frye.... he is in our price range and not really in high demand. He is Amare-compatible on offensive.

He is a - R E A L I S T I C - signing. Get him cheap for 2-3 yrs w/a team option.

I like Fry as a backup cheap player. He has good size and offensive skill. He is not good at rebounding or defending, but is a nice backup option IF we get Chandler. I do not trust Lopez to do anything with the ball and Lou is our defensive big man.

If Hill leaves, I am fine with it.

Second of all, those posters who get their panties all tied in a knot when someone comes in here with inside info, just relax and see if it is true. We can debate it, but show some maturity and class instead of verbally attacking a poster.

Woopedeedoo...Frye is garbage. Great. What a waste. I'd have rather given that money to Hill or Marion or a damn sack of sand for that matter.

Yeah, like the bi-annual exception...that's the only way I'll be happy with it.

if we got him for what Barnes got last year - was that the bi-annual? then yeah, solid for a guy who might thrive running and shooting

Haha, I don't usually read .net but after IHG got the boot he had quite some words for us over here at RGM.

Frye sounds good to me

Why did Ihateginobili get the boot off of realgm, he was always fairly reliable with what people were saying on the inside.

On Channing Frye, I think he might be a little softer than we need, but he is a skilled big man. I don't think he is better than Mcdyess, or than losing out on CV, but at least he has a pulse. Time to hit Youtube for highlights.
