Yeah, we are. At his best he's decent but he swings between best and worse wildly, he's inconsistent, bad IQ, poor shot selection, costs us as much as he gives us. Pass

I've followed him since he was on the Kings. Two things have always stood out. Excellent passing, and rebounding. I don't think this Phoenix team has been a good fit for him. There's obviously a lack of organization when it comes to the defensive end, and it throws him off his game. Same thing on offense when Nash is out and there's really no true ballhandler to run the point.

His scoring has been streaky and inconsistent as mentioned. Hasn't quite been the same 3 point shooter that he was on the Warriors. But his intangibles make him worthwhile to bring off the bench.

I thought a lot of Barnes in Oakland but was disappointed with him here. maybe you're right and it's a bad fit but for whatever reason his faults/bad decisions cost us too much. I say we let him try somewhere else.

Matt Barnes hit a lot of important shots for us. Sure he didnt play well in the key game against Utah, but he is far from a scrub. I would take him back for the minimum.

He's not a scrub, no. For the min he's a good pickup - he's doing himself out of a lot of dollars though. If he just tightened up his game and eliminated some of the bonehead moves he'd be in line for a nice payday. I like the guy personally form all I know and he's a great competitor, good hustle, lots to like.
I just don't think he's a good fit for us if we can put that money somewhere else
