Summer league team taking shape

Post#1 » by RightBWtheEyes » Wed Jul 1, 2009 9:11 pm

Here's who we have so far,

Tyreke, Donte, Omri, Brockman, JT, Wesley Matthews, Jerel McNeal.

I would like to see Spencer there as well, helping build more chemistry, etc. Also excited to have Jerel on the squad... I think he has a legit shot to make the team this season.

Donte will beast in SL, and we will all expect him to breakout this year, and all end up disappointed when Casspi takes all his minutes and we will blame it on the coach for his development.

Is it sad that I would rather watch this team play than the actual kings? Seriously though, we will have the best summer-league roster in the league, especially when it comes to one-on-one matchups.

Evans
Omri
Greene
Thompson/Brockman
Hawes

Evans will "Reke Havoc" in the SL you just wait. And I'm really hoping that Donte can make big strides that carry into the season...

We should definitely have one the better SL rosters out there. This is a good chance for our youngins to develop some early chemistry.

I'll be disappointed if we don't have the BEST SL roster. Three starters, and two potential rotation guys, along with 2-3 of the best undrafted FA's.

We should rock the house this summer! Hopefully it translates over into the Fall, Winter and Spring as well!

John Bryant?! Damn it. I hate when my college-alliance conflicts with my NBA-alliance.

He'd be a nice, cheap pick-up for a back-up C.

Who wants to bet the SL league team wins more games in 1 week then the regular team wins in 3.

Anyway, I cannot wait to see Tyreke, I did not see any Memphis games last year so I wanna see the kid.

I agree that if bryant shows something he has a great chance to make the team.

Over/Under Donte shooting 7 threes a game.. I am going over.

Well, all I'll say is we better be good considering 3/5 of our potential starting lineup is out there!

Interesting. Coachie will coach the SL team.

Though he was laughing last week when he said he wanted Pete Carril to coach the Kings team in the Las Vegas Summer League, new head coach Paul Westphal was serious. "Coachie," who returns as a special assistant/consultant, will celebrate his 79th birthday on July 10 - but only after coaching the Kings in their opening game against the Detroit Pistons.

I'd like to watch these games, is there any way to check them out?
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

I just might take you up on that bet...going undefeated in SL play only equals 5 wins. IMO the team finishes 3-2. I think 3 wins in the first 3 weeks of the season is very possible.
