Can we stop putting Hill's name in our roster lineups?

I have been a huge Grant Hill fan since the mid-late 90's, but it is clear he isn't coming here. Especially not if someone like NYK is going to offer him the full MLE.

Yeah because going to a 25 win team for an extra $3.0 million is very attractive to a 37 year old NBA player who has already made $100-150 million. Be serious. Grant Hill is not going to NY.

Grant Hill will probably stay in Phoenix but if he leaves then Boston has as good or better chance then anyone. Still very much a possibility.

New York is only offering 1 year.

You don't think Hill would take a over the top paycheck to go to the big apple and reunite with D'Antoni?

Are you crazy?

They are offering 1 year. The extra $2-$3 million is not going to make him go to a 25 win team. He is only meeting D'Antoni out of respect.

I work in Phoenix, and watch at least 30 suns games per season (Usually more) I would not be opposed to having hill here, but I would not be all to excited about it either.

If we offer 2 yrs at LLE ($2mil per) I think we will be competitive. Obviously if Hill wants the money he will go to NYK or elsewhere. But he doesn't seem like a money chaser; if he was, he would have left PHX a long time ago. OTOH if he wants a shot at a ring...

I'm actually more concerned about DEN offering him a significant chunk of their MLE. that would trump us, since DEN is a title contender also.

There are not too many players we could bring here for with the LLE that will make anyone overly excited. Hill may be a pipe dream with the LLE but it is not impossible like some are trying to make it out to be. We have just as strong of a chance as any other team if he leaves PHX. He has history with Doc and we are a proven winner.
