Phil's Triangle and Adelman's hi-post motion offense have a lot in common. When executed properly there is a lot of off-ball movement,cutting,screening,etc. Ariza is very good at this.
He is developing into a very nice complemetary SF who if signed is Battier's replacement.
Battier shoots 3s much better,plays better positional defense. Ariza rebounds better,esp on offensive glass,is much more disruptive on D using his long arms to get steals and otherwise break up passes,and looks to cut and finish around rim far more than Shane.
If Ariza is signed I'd expect Shane to be key part of package for a C in a trade.
