Houston after Gortat?

The Mavericks have made a contract offer to Marcin Gortat and will now wait to see if the Magic will match it.

No details on money or length, but if it is a substantial offer, the Magic may have a tough time matching it, even though they have said they intend on doing so with any offer he receives. Stay tuned. The Rockets 'email your love for Gortat' campaign seemed to work, but wasn't enough to pursuade the big man to sign with Houston.

Well this doesn't bother me that much. If Gortat was going to come in and back up Yao Ming it would be nice, but I damn sure don't want to sign him to a stupid contract so he can be the worst starting center in the NBA.

Just too bad that Gortat decide to go to Mavs. Can't blame him for going with more $$. Will be interesting to see if Magic matched it.
