Am i the only person that is wondering if a GM would sign up to an internet message board under an assumed name, lets just say maybe madog for instance, and start defending himself to the masses of fans that can see through the BS and are calling him out on it? If i am, then just ignore me, this whole post was just a joke. If im not, then i think madog really is Kerr and this post was not a joke.

With the crap Kerr has put this city thru there's NO WAY it's a Suns fan. Most likely a family member...

The financial situation of the Suns is playing a huge role in where this team is going...Things are going to get worse I fear...

So what moves of Kerr did you like?

Kerr knows the importance of defense and rebounding...We will never really know if Coach D's system was able to win a Championship. Championship teams play d and rebound well. I was fine with him replacing Coach D with a more defensive minded coach. Terry Porter never had a chance with that group of players who didn't want to play defense in the first place. Amare is a horrible defensive player and doesn't rebound as well as he should.

I like the draft pick of Clark. Was not a fan of the Lopez pick. I think the scouting department plays a role in this as well.

I don't really blame him for the Shaq trade. I think he took a chance and I respect him for that. Most people were very excited about the Shaq trade...I can still feel the electricity in the air at AWA the night Shaq pointed to his ring finger...haha well....Did it work...hell no...but that team with Marion was not going to do much and from what I have read Marion was a problem in the locker room. Guys the goal is to win a championship not to get in the playoffs and have an early exit every year...My biggest complaint about the Suns over the years is they have always been a great team but never good enough to win it all.....o yeah the suspensions well we will never know...Overall i think he knows where he wants this team to go...he wants this team to be a better defensive team and a better rebounding team...not sure he has the players to do that right now...this is a run and gun team that plays very little defense...I can't watch Steve Nash play d anymore it makes me sick and Amare is so lazy...this team needs to change. Kerr has a tough job because the run and gun was so popular, coach D was so popular, Amare is so popular, Nash is so popular..he has taken a lot of heat and you are right he is the GM and he probably would say he deserves it...but man Robert Sarver is the new Bill Bidwell....and thats insulting Bidwell

Haha - you, sir, are an honorable man.

But back to he subject - I think Sarver is not so involved as Heisley in MEM, but could be within spitting distance. Heisley has convinced himself that he's a canny businessman and therefore a shrewd basketball wheeler-dealer.
Or else he's just pure evil and manipulating the NBA contract/salary requirements with no real concern for winning, as outlined by one columnist

1. We will know is Coach D's system works. He is turning NY into the new look Suns. Give him a couple of years to get the roster that it takes. In 2 years i can almost guarantee they will be a playoff team.
2. Great, Terry Porter is a defensive coach. I get that. what i dont get is hiring a defensive coach while maintaing a roster that was built for run-n-gun. The team we had in place was custom built for a no defense 110% offense. On top of that he traded tow of our best defensive players for JRICH who plays no D. That was just a plain out bonehead move.

madog wrote:I like the draft pick of Clark. Was not a fan of the Lopez pick. I think the scouting department plays a role in this as well.

Didnt i read that Griffin was they major guy controlling this years draft for the Suns? Makes sense since we got what looks like a decent pick this year. Kerr picked Lopez. Kerr told all of Phoenix that Dragic is the 2nd best PG in the draft. Dragic (which in my eyes will be a good PG ,not great, someday) IS NOT the #2 PG in last years draft. That was just a bold BS lie. i dont even want to think of the picks before last year because i shall break down in tears.

As GM, Kerr gave the A.O.K to this horrible idea. He had the final say and he said sure. He even said it himself "either im a genius or im a moron." After trading Shaq a year later im sticking with moron. It was a horrible horrible horrible idea. Yes Marion might have been a problem in the locker room,
but that doesnt mean you HAVE to get Shaq. Im sure there were other teams out there that would have loved taking Trix off our hands.

I totally agree with this part. I believe the run-n-gun style can still work, you just need to add a little D, and that starts with Nash. Nash needs to go bye bye. Shaq picked up sooooooo many fouls against the opposing PG that would blaze past Nash and get to the paint. By the second half of the season, when me and my friends watching the game would see the PG go right past Nash and his "Matador" defense, we would stand up and yell "OLEY!" Bell at least covered up Nash's defensive liabilities, but since Kerr traded Bell (He we go again with Kerr) for JRICH, that doesnt work anymore. Sarver is what he is , a fan first. Many call him cheap, but he has payed out like the 4th highest payroll in the NBA for the past 5 years. Sarver > Bidwell, so dont EVEN try to make that comparison.

if the LAL can somehow re-sign Odom, I expect them to 3-peat. Losing Odom to us would be fantastic!

Ric Bucher: Last on Artest/Lakers: team source denied it all the way. Don't know why but it twists my gut. Goes to show: none of us are foolproof.

Oh yeah, Kerr knows the importance of defense and rebounding. Is that why he traded our four best defensive players over the course of the last two years and replaced them with abso-f'n-lutely nothing or Shaq, who is absolutely awful playing the pick n' roll?

Get outta here with that nonsense.

From what i'm hearing Iverson might be going to Chicago. The east is busy so far this offseason, kerr needs to open his mouth and sarver needs to open his checkbook.

well whats going on because this statement is being attributed to Ron Artest himself?

"I am very excited to finally be going to L.A.," Artest said in a statement. "For years now, the Lakers have expressed interest in having me play for them, but we could never get the stars to align.I'm finally a Laker and I can't wait to get on the court with Kobe, Pau [Gasol] and the rest of the team, and play for Phil [Jackson].

"The Lakers really made me feel wanted. . . . I look forward to helping the Lakers defend their championship, and it will be great to finally not get booed in the Staples Center.

I think K thought he could get some of these guys to play D by bringing in Porter...they hated him haha he made them practice...I hated to see Bell go..he was my fav Sun..however Bell was being outspoken and I think wanted out. The comparison to Bidwell was off...YOU are correct Kerr did say that about the Shaq trade, I still don't blame him for making that deal. I thought Shaq was what they needed at the time. Shaq would rebound and outlet to start the fast break and he could guard Timmy. In the end the trade failed. Amare didn't have room to work and Nash was running into Shaq :)It just makes me mad the selling of all the pics and the trades to save money. I want what every Suns fan wants = CHAMPIONSHIP
