Trade Chills

Post#1 » by theatlfan » Fri Jul 3, 2009 4:09 am

So we know that Chills is talking to a handful of teams in an attempt to come back to the States. As the rumor mill goes we'll match anything near the MLE, and Chills won't chance having to come back. So... what's the best SNT that anyone can come up with?

I'll give it a go
Chills, Evans, Morris to SAS for Mason, Bonner, Mahinmi

I guess we can look @ it like this: we get two nice upgrades in Evans to Mason as a backup wing and Morris to Mahinmi in young prospect big while getting a backup big. SAS gets a player they rumored to have chased for a while without giving up much of their core players.

I may value Mahinmi more than most though, but I think he could be a useful big.

Any other ideas?

I think we could do better than that package... Honestly, none of those players really excites me.

One of the stories I read said that if he really didn't want to return to Atlanta that we would try to accommodate a S&T. Personally, I for shipping him to the Clippers for a trade exception if they'll sign him. That trade exception could come in handy around trade deadline time to add a key stretch piece.

ATL would be lucky if they could get Roger Mason with that package.

I was thinking the same thing. The Spurs like him and he has good trade value.

I'd probably look at the Lopez brothers. The Nets, because they may be interested in suring up the wings with Carter gone, but more likely the Suns because I think Hill will walk.

We would never be able to get Brook Lopez out of Jersey. Quality bigs are hard to find and they got lucky that he dropped to them. I would venture a guess that he's the most unattainable player on their roster.
