Alston makes sense. Felton makes sense, but they wouldn't want any of your crap, they already took enough of it and gave you theirs (VladRad-Morrison). S&T for Bibby if they want Walton + Morrison + Farmar + 2012 first makes sense. Signing Iverson to LLE makes sense if he does it. Sessions, but they wouldn't want your crap either. Beno, but he can't defend.

The underappreciated greats:

Some seek fame cause they need validation, some say hating is confused admiration - Nasty, nasty Nas

Morrison+Farmar+future 2nd round pick for Nate Robinson (3 years/18 million). Lakers upgrade the point guard position with a player they have expressed interest in. Lakers also save 3.2 million with this trade, so it almost pays for itself. New York does it because Farmar is a run and gun point guard that D'Antoni likes. This trade also goes with New York's 2010 plan.

As long as we resign Odom I can play the pg and get us a championship. Seriously we don't need a pg to win with Bynum/Gasol/Artest/Kobe/Odom.
Brown was a complete scrub 10th man on the Bobcats and all we have to do is get another sg who is to short to play sg ala Brown but talented which there are of a ton of. Even if we don't Sasha, Farmar, FIsher can win us a championship with the other players we have. Kobe brings up the ball anyway. There are so many scorers they could decide to go with Kobe at the pg and have
PG.Kobe
SG.Artest
SF.Odom
PF.Gasol
C.Bynum

Here is a novel idea.
I see the Ron thread and you guys want Calderon. Obviously you guys do not have the assets to lift him off from Toronto. However, I think you guy should just sign another teammate (now a free agent) of his:
Anthony Parker.
Yes he played SG, but he has a lot of experience at PG in Europe, and played backup PG for Toronto for a while. He defends better than Calderon (usually gets the biggest defensive assignments) and can shoot just as well, and very unselfish. You can probably get him for the cheap since you hold clout (champs) - vet min maybe?

The Lakes have to try to upgrade the PG position somehow. They can probably get Nate Robinson which is a huge upgrade. They do have some expiring contracts which are valuable. Maybe they wait until the deadline to make a deal. Alston is a nice option as well as alot of other options. Outside the box is a guy like Iverson.

Parker is 34. I like him but he is not the solution. Getting older at the 1 spot with Fisher is not a good idea.
And heck, I would beg on my knees to get Andre here. He doesn't shoot well but he's got everything else you need for a PG. He can also defend unlike our PG trio.

Parker would be a viable stop gap for a year or two if you can't get anything young in the now. But you at least get a slight upgrade. Simultaneously he won't destroy chemistry ala Iverson (no ego) or kill the bank. That's why it's a realistic short-term idea.

They have no midlevel and don't need to upgrade at the pg spot now. Between Kobe, Odom, Artest all being play makers and drawing attention that's not to mention Gasol and Bynum Sasha will be wide open and Fisher and Farmar can split minutes. They can get a nobody overseas who can play a little D and hit the open 3.
I think they need to sign Odom the same day they sign Artest which is the 8th I think and if they want to be cheap about the pg spot they can be. I wouldn't mind them not using the midlevel next year or for the next 3 years and selling our picks for the next 3 years.
They can just let Shannon Brown go and maybe Farmar for cash and a pick they can sell and pick up a Dee Brown and something else. They really don't need a pg. As a matter of fact with 3 players who bring the ball up and make plays now having a sg play at the pg position might make the most sence. Maybe we should just have Sasha as our main pg along with Fisher and just go joe bag of donuts as a third option and just get a backup 2 also since Kobe will only be averaging 30 minutes since we will be winning by 30 a game assuming Odom stays.
