Matchup you are most looking foward to next season

Post#1 » by The Skyhook » Sat Jul 4, 2009 6:30 am

With teams adding new players to their roster before the start of next season it looks like next season will be a fun one. I'm just wondering what matchups you guys are looking foward to.

For me its Boston. I hope Lamar is back because him getting into it with Garnett last year was awesome. We have Artest now and that should make things prety fun. I would love to see one of the Celtics try to do something to one of the Lakers players. You know damn well Artest will be right there as the enforcer. Whenever the Lakers and Celtics play there is just so much excitment because you know that the two teams are going to give it their all.

I think you guys vs Orlando is going to be the games to watch this season. Vince/Artest/Kobe/Pietrus going at it on the wings, with Shard trying to contain Gaysol and Howard beasting anyone thrown at him ;)

Nuggets arent strong enough for Lakers, Rockets are really weak, Spurs are oldish, Magic have VC but he is kinda old and they arent strong enough for Lakers, Cavs are weak, only one that is good to play is Boston Celtics

CLE and BOS are the big ..but HOU also, seeing Ariza in red will be sad, but I'd like to see how he does.

Boston. We have some unfinished business there.

First preseason game everybody plays in...

Beyond that, who knows... Actually, if I'm honest with my petty, Portland-hating self, I'd say our first game in Portland... And if we don't win by 40, I'll be depressed for a week.

For me it's Lakers vs Portland in portland. Something just irks me about the announcers there, I want us to lay a beating on them so they shut up. They always have some sort of back-handed compliment for our players or they always seem to be taunting us fans... they even make fun of phil and his hip problems.

Plus the blazers are one of the most exciting young teams to match up with; kobe/roy, bynum/oden, pau/aldrige, and now artest/batum-outlaw.

Other than that I can't wait for Boston at full strength. I definitely want to see artest repay KG an old favor. ha

In my opinion the business was settled with Boston last year, we beat them pretty good twice last year with them at full strength and us missing bynum for one of the games. We got the chip, that's the unsettled business that needed to be addressed. But yeah a rematch with Boston sure would be exciting, they're definitely better than Orlando and Cleveland with or without a Rasheed signing.

Gaysol? Well thats mature and fresh.

For me it would be boston. I love beating those guys. I hope we play vs them in the finals next year, would be epic.
