You seem pretty reputable...
Understand you are 'Red'...
Any info lately on that 'Green' biznitch Pekovic?
Read about possible extension?
50/50 on comin to Tpups or worse?
Would Rubio/Peko in summer 11' help or hurt?

He won't be coming to the NBA 100% for sure this year. Wolves fans keep insisting as do the Wolves management that he will be in the NBA in the 2010-11 season. Well maybe is all I can say. He has said over and over that he is not going to play in the NBA.

As far as what he could do for the Wolves...........the guy is an absolute beast and monster on offense. He would easily be one of the best centers in the NBA.

Me thinks the only reason Tpups fan think that way is BECAUSE the management keeps INSISTING he will be here...
With you on the beast part as well...
Nicknamed him Euroguns...
So its the NBA and not specifically the Tpups?...
He is playing for the EuroPopovich right?...
Has his defense improved in your opinion?..
Legit 6'10+?..
Any thoughts on rebound #'s?
Sorry bout all the ?'s...
Just think he would be perfect big to add to Jefferson/Love combo for 11-12 season...

He plays for coach Obradovic. He is better than Popovich. I mean ESPN is calling Jackson the best coach in the world.......well they obviously are not aware of Obradovic then. If you are a Wolves fan you should be very glad he's playing for the coach he is. Definitely the best coach on the planet. He will make any player better.

As for his rebounding and defense it still needs work. His boxing out has gotten really good and his rebounding rate isn't bad. But he needs to work on it still though. He's probably like a 8-9 rebound guy in the NBA with starter's minutes. So he needs to work on his rebounding still. He should be better than that.

His defense also still needs work but it's getting a lot better after just one year with Obradovic in Panathinaikos. His team defense improved a lot and he was starting to do better in man defense. He's improved in perimeter defense and pick and roll defense. His man post defense also got better. He still needs work on his defense though. Not really up to par on defense for Panathinaikos. But keep in mind that Panathinaikos is the cream of the crop. They are better than plenty of NBA teams and their main focus is defense. So his defense still needs work but it's not like he's some terrible defender or anything. I mean he's a better defender than Jefferson is.

His height is 6-11. I'm not sure why everyone keeps saying he's 6-10. He's not a finished player by any means. He's young and still developing and has some areas to improve on. Like rebounding and defense but mainly by far it's fouling and turnovers. He's 23 and he's pretty much like most young big men he has a lot of fouls and turnovers. He has way too many problems with fouls and turnovers. So he's definitely a young guy at 23 and still playing that way.

It's going to take him a couple years probably before a team can run an offense through him because of his turnovers and offensive fouls. It will also keep limiting his minutes as he fouls a lot on defense too. He has the bad habit of giving 2 or 3 quick fouls. Still though, he was probably the 3rd or 4th best player Panathinaikos had this year. And considering his age, I would say that means he projects to be a really good player down the road.

If he just keeps improving as he has been then he will definitely be a premiere big man in the NBA if he goes there in the future.

Definately ELITE and has to be mentioned in any great coach debate...
Only reason Popovich came to mind is team-oriented and defense unlike Phil with uber stars and goofy triangle...

I don't recall Pekovic saying that he doesn't want to play in the NBA. He said in an interview a few months back, midway through the season, that he doesn't spend time thinking about the NBA at the moment, which is a big difference. We'll have to wait until 2010 [opt out] or 2011 [contract expires] for him to make clear his intentions. 2009 would be a huge surprise. We can almost rule that out, even if there is an opt out.

The only thing we can say right now is that he hasn't been as offensive as the Spanish boys, who always said that they want to play in the NBA. Of course the fact that he plays for Obradovic at PAO leaves open the possibility that he'll stay here for a long time.

Nah i have seen numerous Pekovic interviews even since before he went to PAO and believe me he has never said he will never go to the NBA as the fake KWSN-Man would leave you to believe.
THis fake KWSN-Man is a poster who has been banned from numerous boards he always fabricates information and never backs it up, but when you call him on it he starts acting like a baby. Pekovic will join the NBA in 2010 as long as the team that owns his rights shows interest and respect, in terms of salary and in how they project their role in the team.
