How about Q-Rich and Ricky for Boozer.
Then our TPE for either Korver or Harpring.
Sure the Clips do better out of this deal, but this deal helps the Jazz stay away from luxury tax hell and makes it much easier for them to sign Milsap to a long term deal. The Jazz are already at 73 million and that with Milsap scheduled to make 1 million this year. Trading our TPE for Korver would save them 5.15 million and 10.3 million with the luxury tax. Harpring makes 6.5 million and that would be 13 million with the luxury tax.
This deal for the Clips gets them a damn good post player in a contract year so I'm sure he would be busting his butt. This would take a lot of pressure off of Griffin and would give him one year to get his feet wet in the league.
Both of these deals are also 2010 cap friendly.

No. We don't want anything from the Clips other then your young talent or Kaman/Camby.
Why would the clips trade for Boozer anyways? Unless your planning on playing Griffin at the 5....

This was just a deal that would save Utah a ton of money and would help with resigning Milsap.

Re: Utah and the Clips
That's great but I'm sure we could find a better money saving deal with a team that would actually make the trade. There is no reason for the Clips to do this.

Re: Utah and the Clips
There aren't many teams that could take back a salary without giving much up. We have a TPE and I think Denver has one for another week or two from the Camby deal. I just thought that the Jazz might jump at the idea of saving up to 13 million dollars by unloading Korver or Harpring. I really don't see Denver using theirs and especially not with a division rival. I guess you guys could trade Boozer to OKC for a future 2nd rounder.
The Clips do this to be more competitive now while Griffin gets used to playing in the league. With the lack of true centers in the league now I also don't see a reason why Boozer and Griffin couldn't play together.

The Jazz would like to avoid the tax, but not at the expense of getting nothing for Boozer. Neither of those players would ever fit on the team. The Jazz could at least get Michael Beasley or someone similar for Boozer.

Because they're way too similar offensively.
Besides, no way the Jazz trade for those two guys.
