Predict each Clippers players stats this coming season
STARTERS
PG. Baron Davis
15.5 PPG 3.2 RPG 7.7 AST 1.4 SPG
Baron won't have great numbers in his second season with the Clips, but i think he will have more of a consistent season and less of a cancer. I think he will embrace the role of not being the 1st option, but be the leader of this squad.
SG. Eric Gordon
14.4 PPG 2.4 RPG 3.1 AST 2.2 SPG
I dont think Eric Gordon would increase his scoring average since there's more offensive options available. What i think he will improve on is his defense. He might be the second coming of Cuttino Mobley with his quickness and shooting ability. Eric will have a solid sophomore season
SF. Al Thornton
11.5 PPG 4.3 RPG 1.8 AST
Al in my opinion will have lower stats from last season. He may be one of the most athletic players in the roster, but can also be incosistent. Al might be in for career low stats, but expect his percentages and efficiency to be much better.
PF. Blake Griffin
18.6 PPG 9.4 RPG 1.7 AST 1.0 BPG
He is looked upon to be the Clippers' savior. I dont think Griffin will have a 20 and 10 season just yet, but he will average somewhere close to it. He wont have an impact on defense as well, but that will be in the coming future.
C. Chris Kaman
10.6 PPG 7.5 RPG 1.8 AST 2.4 BPG
I hope Kaman wont have another injury riddled season. He doesnt have to carry the offensive load in the paint. He needs to focus more and not have defensive or offensive lapses.
KEY RESERVES
PG. Mike Taylor
4.4 PPG 0.8 RPG 2.0 AST
Taylor wont get much minutes, because i think Eric Gordon will also get some point guard minutes, He's the type of player that catches fire on some games.
SF. Quentin Richardson
7.4 PPG 2.3 RPG 1.8 AST
Im really excited to have Q back with the Clips. He will provide energy and some all around game off the bench
C. Marcus Camby
5.6 PPG 5.8 RPG 0.9 AST 1.4 BPG
Camby still has some left in his tank. He will be the defensive spark and Griffin's teacher off the bench for the Clips
(Hopefully no long term injuries will occur)

Im 100% sure Gordon will avg more then 14.4 ppg. What kind of fan are you? He beasted last season and now you expect his stats to drop? Your insane. BTW if you add all of their ppg avg it barely comes to 70....

The Clippers will be in trouble if Blake Griffin is the teams leading scorer.

Re: Predict each Clippers players stats this coming season
Just wondering, what is this "more offensive" weapons added onto the roster for EJ's scoring to go down, considering we traded Randolph for Q? As a starter, EJ averaged 18.4/3/3 on 46.3/39 shooting, and you think he'll drop to 14.4? Anyway, my guesses:
Starters:
Baron Davis: 13.9 PPG | 4.2 RPG | 8.3 APG
Eric Gordon: 17.9 PPG | 2.8 RPG | 3.1 APG
Al Thornton: 11.2 PPG | 4.3 RPG | 1.2 APG
Blake Griffin: 14.9 PPG | 7.2 RPG | .9 APG
Chris Kaman: 13.2 PPG | 10.7 RPG | 2.7 APG
Bench:
Mike Taylor: 5.2 PPG | 2.1 RPG | 3.1 APG
Ricky Davis: 2.3 PPG | 1.9 RPG | 2.4 APG
Quentin Richardson: 4.7 PPG | 4.2 RPG | 1.8 APG
Sure Shot Steve Novak: 8.3 PPG | 2.1 RPG | .6 APG
Marcus Camby: 8.3 PPG | 12.4 RPG | 2.1 APG
Starters:
Baron Davis: 13.9 PPG | 4.2 RPG | 8.3 APG
Eric Gordon: 17.9 PPG | 2.8 RPG | 3.1 APG
Al Thornton: 11.2 PPG | 4.3 RPG | 1.2 APG
Blake Griffin: 14.9 PPG | 7.2 RPG | .9 APG
Chris Kaman: 13.2 PPG | 10.7 RPG | 2.7 APG
Bench:
Mike Taylor: 5.2 PPG | 2.1 RPG | 3.1 APG
Ricky Davis: 2.3 PPG | 1.9 RPG | 2.4 APG
Quentin Richardson: 4.7 PPG | 4.2 RPG | 1.8 APG
Sure Shot Steve Novak: 8.3 PPG | 2.1 RPG | .6 APG
Marcus Camby: 8.3 PPG | 12.4 RPG | 2.1 APG

Re: Predict each Clippers players stats this coming season
I don't see Baron averaging less points than last year with more assists. I reckon he either goes back to being able to score and actually plays properly or falls off even more and posts lower assist numbers as well as points.
Other than that I agree with the above post although with camby's rebounds slightly down and one of Q or Rickys stats up.

I think Gordon can go up to 20 a game imo. Dunnleavy we'll see that he can score almost from anywhere and he'll be the #1 option on offense.

I really don't think AL will average that many points with Q and Ricky there. Other than that pretty solid prediction i would say. Would also say the DJ predictions are pretty optimistic as I doubt he will get the minutes to put up 7.6 rebs.

Those are a few of the numbers that I had the hardest time putting down. Al may not log as many minutes as last season (37+), or the latter portion of 07-08, but I'm assuming that he will still see 33-35 minutes per game. If he can play more like he did at the end of last season (in attack-mode before going down with the injury) where he shot over 50% for 10 of 13 games in March, then I can see him kind of retaining that scoring average. Those March games average out to 16.31 points over 35 minutes. Now that I look back over it, it is definitely highly optimistic. For our sakes as well as team's, I hope that he can finally pull it all together and pick up his consistency.
With DJ, he has moved up the depth chart, so he is expected to play more on a consistent basis. Kaman and Camby are ahead of him, and have had their share of injuries throughout their careers. If one of them goes down for any substantial amount of time, DJ will be the one to benefit with the playing time. If everyone is healthy, then he more than likely doesn't pull down close to 8 boards a game, but my intention was to factor in injuries (and especially to Kaman & Camby).

I just got a good chuckle at the comment about how Eric Gordon "might" be the second coming of Cuttino Mobley. Are you for real?
More like "might" be an all-star before soon.

Starters:
Baron Davis: 15.4 PPG | 3.9 RPG | 7.9 APG
Eric Gordon: 17.4 PPG | 2.9 RPG | 3.1 APG
Al Thornton: 13.7 PPG | 4.4 RPG | 1.3 APG

Steve Novak: 7.1 PPG | 2.2 RPG | .8 APG
Marcus Camby: 7.5 PPG | 9.9 RPG | 2.4 APG
I'm just going to focus on scoring averages, as those numbers are the ones that I see changing the most from last season. The numbers above are based on there being NO injuries. Obviously this is not realistic, so I will make another comment on this later on in my post:
I think Gordon will end up being our leading scorer. He's just a really special player, who's going to get better and better. I see Thornton taking a hit in the points category, as long as there aren't too many injuries to other key players. The same with Baron. Hopefully he'll be more focused on making plays rather than going into chuck-mode. Hopefully he surprises us with more assists next season. I see Kaman as a steady inside presence, but won't get that many touches with Griffin next to him. And hopefully with Griffin starting from the beginning of the season, I see him with a respectable 13-14 PPG.
The bench is really a mystery to me. I came up with some preliminary numbers which I thought were reasonable, but when I added the entire team's scoring average up, I had the team averaging 115 points. Last season we averaged 94 IIRC. I wanted the team average to increase about 10 points, because I think that's reasonable giving the offensive options on our team. So I plugged in some numbers for the bench players, which for most of them, drop off quite a bit. I see Taylor increasing his average a bit, as he had about 5.7 PPG in 15 mins last season. I want to see him average around 20 mins this season, and I think he can manage a small increase in overall stats. Novak I see going up, because he's going to be the second option for threes behind Gordon. Camby I see dropping off a bit, and playing less overall minutes.
And finally, as I mentioned above, Q and Ricky won't be representative, because I didn't factor in injuries. Both of them, factoring in injuries, would be a few points higher, with Q being ahead of Ricky. Ricky's really dug himself into a hole, and he should be in the doghouse until he can string together a few decent games, or at least do something funny (I know, I will always associate the triple-double incident with him).

I would love to see that happen. Last year I thought that he had the ability to break our team's rookie record, but I thought that he would not get the opportunity to. That was before the trades and injuries though. The thing that he does have going for him is that he's pretty efficient and can get to the line. The safest thing for me to say is that I would absolutely not be surprised to see him do so.
