Malik Rose for the minimum?

Post#1 » by ctorres » Mon Jul 6, 2009 2:58 am

Come on guys, bring him back, he's been through too much losing with the Knicks and Thunder.

The poor guy deserves another break with the Spurs.

Not when we already have Blair, who i think will be a better player than Malik anyway. All respect to the guy, he gave so much to this organisation, but in the twilight of TD and Manu's career, we need to be thinking Championship. Malik doesn't really bring us anything to bring us closer to that goal.

Yeah, lol. Actually, i think we could do better, lol.

2 years ago, Rose could have been an option if he was bought out but not now.

He was one of favorite players when he was here but I don't think the guys got much left for knees. Love to have him back in the organization, but not as a player.

I don't really mind having him back, but not as a key contributor to the team. If he still wants to play, perhaps he can lighten up the locker room with the Spurs signing him as a veteran presence.

God I love me some Malik Rose but boy did we miss a bullet on that one. People dont remember we gave this guy a rediculous contract. I think it was 42 mil for 6 yrs. Lucky for us we were able to dump that off with the Knicks. Who ever said Issai Thomas was good for nothing. I loved to have the guy back...but only to sell philly cheese stakes.

Has Malik developed any towel waving skills since he left town?

Nah, we need either a veteran/defensive-minded/7 foot center or an addition back up vet pg.

Malik would be nice but we have a ton of 4s (Blair, Dice, Gist, Haislip)
Manu Ginobili:

* Italian League Championship: 2001
* Italian Cup: 2001, 2002
* Euroleague: 2001
* Americas Championship: 2001
* NBA Championship: 2003, 2005, 2007
* Summer Olympic Games gold medal: 2004
