The Pistons would be wasting Villanueva to not use him off the bench. They can use him starter mins but he can give them mins at all 3 spots up front.
Boozer and Gordon were Dumar's targets all along, he just scooped CV along the way.
The funny thing about Avery is he is the guy that got Dirk and company to play defense when nobody thought they could either. Give Dumars this he has a plan.
Rip for Boozer........

I like Avery Johnson largely because I feel he exudes more self confidence from the sidelines than any other coach in the game.

Re: Rip for Boozer........
This is a team that won an NBA title with 4 good offensive players and no future HOFs (Billups is fringe).
I like the team Dumars is putting together. Boozer is a good player as is Gordon. Not great defensively, but defense is about commitment, not so much talent. Look at the Celts.
I wouldn't discount these moves.Stuckey is a good scorer and him and Gordon will work well together. As far Charlie V, scoring, rebounding and he has a nice versatile skill set.
They need something else inside. Perhaps they use Prince to entice that.

Where's the Ben Wallce that made it all work though? Kwame Brown?

I feel like this could work if CV doesn't mind coming off the bench for them.
Oberto?(Kwame) / Maxiell
Boozer / CV
Tayshaun / CV
Gordon / Afflalo
Stuck / Bynum
Not a terrible looking team. Just doesn't scream Defense.
