You continue to astound me, sir. I'll not elaborate on the details.

aznkillabeezZz wrote:Ariza is a great , long , young athletic player. But his consistency comes into question. He was big for LA in the playoffs making big shots and steals. However, its more of a question on how much of an impact did Kobe, Odom, Pau have on him. Since all the pressure was on all the other guys. I remember him being streaky shooter with alot of skill. I think that Artest is a better player for us in the playoffs, but during the season, Ariza will be better.

Well since we lost artest, at least we got something in return for the midlevel acception. Lakers had to give up odom or Ariza. And i agree with their decision, Odom is a more accomplished player than Ariza.

Ariza improved leaps and bounds from his knick and orlando days.. He proved himself to be a legit backup and starter. So i dont get how people can compare him to those days. There's something called improvement. He'll be good for us.. He was lakers 2nd most athletic player.. Behind Kobe. Lakers are going to miss his cuts to the basket. But they can cope since they' have a deep bench.

It's good to mostly agree with you for once :D

Sounds like Ariza could have a change of heart and could sign with Cleveland.

Yea read the same thing. I won't be surprised. But there is also the great chance that LeBron will bolt and Ariza will be stuck making the same money he would be here...but on a team thats just god awful.

Thank Hedo but at least he had a good reason for Family as much as it pains me being a blazer fan. However if Ariza does it what's his excuse but might be nothing.

Where did you read that?

NVM. Found an article.

http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... cavaliers/

Even that wasn't enough to get Ariza, who verbally committed to join the Rockets last Thursday, to change his mind and go to Cleveland.

"Trevor asked LeBron if he would be in Cleveland after next season," the source said. "And LeBron said, 'I'll be there. Of course, I'll be there.'"

Cavs general manager Danny Ferry and head coach Mike Brown flew to Los Angeles and met with Ariza on Sunday, according to several sources with knowledge of the situation.

Ariza, according to the article, received calls from both James and Shaquille O'Neal, but was less than convinced that James will definitely stay in Cleveland.

"He thought it was just a recruiting tool," the source said. "LeBron definitely said it, but until he signs the contract it doesn't mean much."

The Cleveland Cavaliers organization has absolutely no class.

Even so, according to sources, a flattered Ariza strongly considered reneging on his agreement with the Rockets and heading for Cleveland, which made him the same offer as Houston last week. In the end, however, he decided to keep his word to the Rockets.

"He's a very loyal person," the source said. "[Rockets coach] Rick Adelman had lunch with him for three straight days last week and that meant a lot to him."

OT but I like how draftboy got sus. for responding to an insult while most of his posts were fair arguments, but L fans who do the same/worse insults repeatedly get not even a warning

Yeah I thought for a second that he was going to pull a "Carlos Boozer" on us. :x

1 Odom doesn't play SF anymore he hasn't in years. 2 Lakers was contenders and had the best record with Luke as a starter.

That's why you don't go to other boards if you want to continue posting :) Fair? Doesn't matter. Civilized? Doesn't matter. Not-overly-confrontational? Doesn't matter.
