you're paul fricken allen, man. i would overpay the guy just to spite the fakers and dr.buss in the hopes buss will be forced to match or not sign him. if i were wyc, i'd even recruit 3, 4, 5 other owners (cuban, et al. with no regards to money) to chip in $500k-$1mil to guarantee odom does not get resigned lol

If Lamar's offered 5 years, do you think Buss will counter with something similar? I've read LA's offer is 3 years... It will be hard for Lamar to walk away from 5 years. He has a ring already, unlike Artest, and he's sane, unlike Artest. :D
Well if he serious about wanting to win he'll sign the 3 year deal, but if he's hungry for the cash he'll take a 5. Problem is I don't think anybody is going to give him 5.

You're saying he's not as good as Turk?
Naw I'm not saying that at all, but we're talking about the longevity of a contract and the player it's plugged to. Odom will be 30 in October, not sure about Turk's age. All things being told in my mind Portland would've over paid for Turk at the price they offered.

OK, so now we talk about what each does on a nightly basis. To me ( and this isn't to be bias) I think LO is a lot better than Turk. Simply because we've seen LO do what he does for his whole career, we've just now got to see "play maker" Turk this season. I still feel he'll look for his own shot first instead of setting up a teammate.

LO doesn't care if he scores and that could be a poison pill for a team looking for just that. Honestly I don't know any other reason why the Blazer want Odom , other than to just cripple the Lakers to some effect I guess. Really that's everybody's MO.

1st you say no one will offer LO 5 years. Then you say he's much better than Turk, but wonder why Portland would want LO?????????????

Look bruh, you're getting it twisted badly. First off yes LO is better than Turk but anybody who pays either 50-60 mil is over paying period I don't care how you cut it. Trust me I know all to well why the Blazer are even contemplating this.......simply to weaken the Lakers nothing more nothing less.

Truth is they don't need LO, and LO isn't going to be a player that put's them over the hump. Plus I stated in my post that Portland only wanted to sign LO for just that purpose.......to weaken the Lakers, which part of that you didn't get ? You try to make it seem as if I didn't have ANY clue as to why they wanted him when I put it as plain as it can get.

And yes other than Portland NOBODY is going to offer LO 5 and 50 or 60, if it was going to happen don't you think it would've already ? You know and I know teams clearly know what they want in free agency, and when they want it they move fast.

Portland has no need for L.O and like deep said the only reason they are attempting to get LO is trying to cripple the Lakers. No matter what happens LO will resign with the Lakers.
