I guess this means that Sheed really wasn't option #1 in the first place, or else they would have pursued him much more aggressively. They wouldn't have just slacked off on this, would they?

the C's used some very aggresive tactics to court Wallace. Spurs should of done the same. Allen, Pierce, KG were all present when Sheed met with BOS. Spurs should of had TD, TP, Manu, all meet with him as well.

man we didn't need washed up sheed. He's lost his game, has nothing left. We need McDyess.

Bit of a downer, but hopefully we can land Mcdyess. Spurs still can't afford to stand pat, we are not quite there yet.

Honestly i'm really not that upset, he would of been a nice addition to our team. But he's old and washed up, I'd rather get a younger player that can contribute for more than just one or two seasons.

I don't know about writing off Sheed yet, he has obviously aged, but he could well be revived with all the help he has in Boston offensively (and defensively). And the better situation than in Detroit the last 1-2 seasons. Not necessarily like in his Portland or very early Detroit days, but noticably better than the last 2-3 years.

I would of loved to see us get him, but what can you do... we obviously need another piece up front, and the main two IMO are McDyess and Varejao.

I think he'll work out well for Boston. I'm just glad we didn't get him.

I was iffy on Wallace from the beginning. Sure, I still would have liked him on board but I'm not upset at him not being signed.

Dyess is more dedicated and likely a better player than Wallace at this point in their respective careers. Hopefully the Spurs can make this happen.

I'm extremely dissapointed with this. I was really hoping for sheed.

Sure, McDyess gives better effort and is the more consistent shooter, but Wallace is not only bigger than Dice, he's got a post game, he's got range to the 3 point line, and he's one of the best post defender in this league. No offense to Dice, he maybe the better rebounder, but he's not the defensive player Sheed is nor does he have the full offensive package Sheed have.

Yeah but ask Pistons fans how often Sheed used his inside game in the past 2 years. Pretty much non-existent. He's old and lazy these days. He prefers to jack three's. Yes his D is a little better than Dice, but Dice has twice the heart of Sheed and is still a very productive big man, as well as being a warrior on the boards.
