If we can make a deal for Shaq with his health problems, I don't think Chandler's is stopping us. It's like it's been said, they're exploring other deals before it. Plus, I think that extra yr of paying him is more of a deterrent.

As a Suns fan, I would obviously LOVE that deal. But I see no reason the Hornets move both of them. I mean Posey is older and a little overpaid, but he is still a very nice piece for anyteam. Unless the Hornets feel like they need to blow it up, I don't know why they would move him. If anything I would say they move Peja.
I absolutely hate the fact that Kerr is the one holding this trade up. The only logical reason Kerr has to not jump all over this trade, is if he wants to see if Nash/Amare re-up first. That makes some sense because if we can't/aren't going to keep them then there is no reason to bring in Chandler.
Either way; Do this trade already, Kerr!
You ever give consideration to the fact that Chandler is damaged goods? The man has a bum foot/toe. If it's a lingering condition there is no way he'll be able to keep up for 82 games runnin' and gunnin'. New Orleans practically gave him away to OKC last year before they failed him on his physical. Listening to the Suns mouthpiece Gambo, sounds like they can have him if they want him, but the Suns are very concerned about that injury. I'm not surprised.
No actually I'm not worried about it. For multiple reasons...
1) Injuries are often blown out of proportion. Sure he failed his physical but that was when he was still INJURED. Not recovering from injury. With a good training staff I see no reason he can't get back to his normal durability. If we can get Nash's back , Amare's knees, Shaq's hip, Hill's Ankle under control I don't see a reason why we can't get this taken care of.
2)Trading Wallace for Nash, and either waiving Pavs or trading him for a pick or young player, SAVES us money this year. So if we do the trade and for some reason can't get Chandler up to par. We hold on to him , and then have a big expiring this summer. That's assuming he picks up his player option. Which I'm sure he would if he's still dealing with injuries.
3. I honestly think that the Suns WANT to move Amare and blow this team up, but they know they can't do it without getting destroyed by fans and the media. So, they can't(hopefully) accept the GS deal without Curry or Randolph. And if that's the best offer they are kind of stuck competing now , so I think they are holding off getting Chandler simply because they don't want to commit to a payroll this year, without knowing that's their only option.
That's just the feeling I get from Kerr. I can understand being hesitent in bringing Chandler over, but it's not that much of a difference with Amare. Atleast Chandlers can be rehabbed. I have read other reports that other teams are trying to get Tyson, so if we get him and it doesn't work out , we could always try and dump him to one of those teams. It's worth the risk in my eyes.

Every deal these guys make is tired directly to the lux tax. It was a stated priority.
It is only logical that they would wait until these numbers to come out before they made any roster changing moves.
Now, I am not sure where they stand on Chandler's health, but you can damn sure bet absorbing his contract will get most of Sarver's attention
