i'd rather have a natural scoring shooting guard who can consistently put up 18-25 points a night and still play solid permieter defense, such as Richard Hamilton. I think that would be a great pickup. If we could exercise that trade and resign Paul Millsap, then we could be true contenders come playoff time, if we are healthy.

I like the trade I just dont know what we would do with so many stinking 2's and 3's.

I think Maggette is a better option than Hamilton at this point. He is a year younger, shoots a higher percentage, gets to the line more often, and gets paid less. That's a lot of pluses for Magette. A Boozer or Kirilenko deal with the Warriors that nets Magette and other workable pieces would seem like good judgement on the Jazz part.

We save $7.3M ($5.15 in salary, x2 luxury tax is $10.3 - $3 cash = $7.3M)
Add defensive presence in KT to frontcourt (who I have always wanted), Azubu for 2 yrs (3.4 next year) and Bowen. Free $14M from next years payroll plus minimise lux tax so we can keep both Boozer and Millsap.

I think any trade with the Jazz would probably have Mags included, Speedy ( contract ) a choice of young players like Azu, Bwright, Cj watson. in return for Boozer and fillers. Basically anyone of the following will work even if you include Turiaf to the deal in case you want a big back in return.

Maggette/Turiaf/Azubuike for Boozer/Hapring would be a sweet deal for Utah and it saves them 7 million in cash next year. If Golden State is hesitant to throw in Azubuike I would take Wright instead. Not really sure who has the most value, but I like both of them. If we could pry Anthony Morrow (47% 3FG) away from them somehow that would be nice too.

Harpring may be done due to his bad ankle. So he would just be cash savings if he retires as is being speculated.

I think a trade to Warriors doesn't work out really well--the reason for moving Boozer would be for cap relief which they don't get reasonable amounts of in a swap.

How about Pietrus?

He is more like 15-20 points, but he is does play good d and is still young.

GS trades Maggette and Turiaf for Boozer
Orlando trades Pietrus for Maggette and Turiaf
Utah trades Boozer for Pietrus

GS upgrades the 4, Orl gets a backup C, Utah gets a 2 way sg and saves money.

I'd hit that... Love Turiaf, but if helps getting boozer, ridding the log jam as guard. I'm totally down if the warriors actually pulled that off.
