Ron is going to be a good player. Might get the Lakers another ring, but loosing Ariza might be worse in the long run. He was so much to the team. On the defense. And then adding a 3 pointer and other aspects. Ron is a plus but Trevor is a double minus. So are we really that much better. Good move with outcomes that could end up being worse long run.

Man how many Odom's are there? I think once Star has a man crush on someone he wont let. I remember the day's he would talk about RJ like there is no tomorrow, every morning I would go onto REAL GM and see 3 new threads and about 20 new comments about RJ.

We still LOVE you bra. I got to say his the only one I know that has a Laker tatoo on him. His a Laker by heart. :)

Brah, He is getting out of hand with Lamar, seriously.
Every post and thread is about Lamar and how he doesnt want Lamar to leave. I have never heard anyone talk so much about an individual as much Star talks about ONE PERSON.

The Laker Kid wrote:You know, all these talks we hear about are coming from ARTEST himself. How he told Kobe he wants to join them, how he told Phil that he wants to come over, etc etc. The big question is.... Do Kobe and Phil even want him here? Why mess with a working system (that is Trevor Ariza)? Have they interviewed Kobe yet? I wonder what he has to say about this signing.

Do you honestly think that this KAT took a huge pay cut to come to LA and Kobe and Phil didnt have anything to do with that?
Kobe has already said many many times that he wanted Artest to come to LA, we have well over three threads with links of all of the conversation that has taken place. You think if Phil or Kobe didnt want Artest here then Artest would've came here.
Kobe knows how good the Lakers are going to get with the addition of Artest.

The interview that Artest had with Kobe sometime back was very telling about how much Artest respects and even admires Bryant as a baller. Artest was exalting Bryant beyond belief and at one point during the interview I though he was going to ask him for an autograph or something to that extent.

Flash forward to the interview earlier today and the giddiness that Artest showed with the opportunity to play with what amounts to the idol of his era, Bryant, and once can clearly see that Artest will have the full and undivided respect of Kobe. Same with PJ. This is the very reason why I was never worried about Artest coming to LA and that his game will fit in very smoothly. Artest wants to win a title, plain and simple, and he wants to do it with ballers that he respects and admires as well.

Like I said last week, I still have never seen a FA baller show up on ESPN and proclaim on a live studio show that he was signing with a team the way Artest did. It was unprecedented, and his type of press conference was a revelation as well as it showed that Artest not only knows he made mistakes in the past, but he admitted to them freely, and has learned from them.

It goes without saying, but when LA goes to the Bynum, Gasol, Artest, Bryant, & Brown lineup that's going to be one physical, athletic, big, and violent that is unleashed.

I'm glad Mitch broke it down about how Trev & his people made it apparent that we couldn't bring back our same team. Hopefully he will see how dumb of a move it was leaving. Especially for the same money!

I loved the presser and the celebration vid after, I'm really excited about Ron Ron. If we get LO nothing is gonna stop us, if not it's gonna be up for grabs. Either way I'm looking forward to next seasons challenge and seeing what happens.

AVarejo getting paid more than Ron Ron (7-8.3 M for the next 5 tears) lol, great signing CLE, you morons.
