Not a huge surprise. He will be a good fit there.

Really? Will you guys give him part of the MLE?
Not that I don't believe you but if I had a nickel for every time someone said "trust me on this" and turned out to be full of crap...

Does anyone know what the story with our future draft picks is?
I'm curious how many first and second rounders to dangle in trade talks.

Dreamer, its consensus on this board that Hill is the better pick up over Barnes. The PER comparisons are a factor (skewed as they may be) and kudos on the research, but try this its much easier - make an HONEST pros and cons list for each player, including details like Hills relationship with Doc. Then decide.
Remember, Hill would only be making around 1.7mil a year from the bi-annual. Its not like we have to smash the piggy bank to afford him

That is Hill is even coming here. It certainly seems that he probably isn't. If he is, and he's going to get paid the LLE, then I'm OK with it. It isn't like he would be a poor addition to the club. If he doesn't, then talking about how good he WOULD have been gets us nowhere. We are so thin at the 1 through 3 spots it is ridiculous.

We have a ton of guys that play the 1 - 3 spots on the roster. You just don't like those guys. Time tells if your right about them.

Let me rephrase it then. I want guys who play the 1 through 3 spots who don't cause us to score fewer points and give up more of them. Tony Allen, for example: Time has told me that he sucks.

Yet you want to replace TA, who had an opponents PER of 10, with Matt Barnes, who had an opponents PER of 19.
I'm long since off the TA bandwagon, but the trouble with him is not that he sucks, but that every once in a while he is so good that everyone goes "why the hell can't he do that all the time". four out of five games he acts like basketball is a foreign language, and 1 out of 5 he's a borderline allstar. that's the trouble with Tony.
the thing is, if tony's healthy, i wouldn't count him out. i certainly wouldn't assume that someone like matt barnes is going to come in and be better than him.

How about if Tony's IQ raised about 80 points between now and the beginning of the season? Then, at least, he might be useful, because he plays like he should be riding the short bus to games.

LMAO. Stats only count if they support his guy. Stat wise TA doesn't suck at all. +4.3 PER differential. He shot 48.2% from the field. He gets to the line a ton. He is one of the best one on one defenders in the game.
We could see more TA now with Sheed. Doc doesn't like lineups devoid of shooters so he couldn't really use him much last year..
Don't get me wrong Tony has issues. But never before has a better player been more denigrated then TA.
