I don't know how I like a 5 year deal for Marion, once his athleticism diminishes a bit more he's going to look awfully overpaid...

Kidd, Howard, Marion, Dirk, Dampier

Jason Terry as super six man?

That is not a bad lineup. Wow.

If they get a little more out of their centers, or add a capable big, they're going to be really tough.

Now if they somehow got Shaq in the middle then they would be a team to reckoned with

Kidd, Howard, Marion, Dirk, Shaq

You would have 5 all stars there :P

Don't know if Josh Howard can play the deuce regularly. Might have to go Terry and put Josh or Matrix as 6th man... it should be an interesting training camp in Dallas. They also had to move their good backup deuce Wright.

He is a little more valuable and better then those guys. I think the Marion contract is what he should get. He might be a little better then Marion and more valuable but LA offers more advantages then Dallas and he offered to take less and they are very close.

Odom sopposedly wants to retire a Laker so why don't we give hima 6 year deal for 55 million. That is alot. Most people don't want to give 6 years. This way he gets 9.5 million a year but it will probably start at around 7.5-8. They could trade him in his final year to and that contract will be valuable.

The Magic have 7 million now. They have the power to offer him a starters position on a finals team who with Odom would be better then us (Odom a laker we beat them though) and we know he likes Florida so we can't risk it. What if he gets pissed because were only offering 7 million so he decides for a change. We can't take that risk. We have to offer him give him the 10. Can't we just give him signing bonuses which don't go against cap?

^^ They have a 7 million dollar TPE. They CANNOT use that to sign players.

#4,#5? Seriously? Who is the top 3? With the signing of Gortat and Marion it puts the Mavericks over the Nuggets and Spurs.... Right there neck and neck with the Lakers! Mavericks are A LOT better now! Dont be SCURRED!

disagree. Shig is right.

Lakers 1

Denver and Portland (if Hinrich happens) battle for 2 and 3, loser has to be 4 in p.o.

Spurs and Dallas (if Gortat happens) battle for 4 and 5, with the loser getting a road series in the first round at the Den/Port loser... Ouch.

We'll see about that. He's got Jason Kidd now.

The Mavs have the dumbest payroll in the league. This just adds to the absurdity. Even Zach Randolph thinks they have bad contracts.

Howard has guarded Kobe for almost a whole game before. He can play the 2 no problem. Coming out of college they said he couldn't play the 3 so he slipped all the way down to late 20's. He'll be fine.

The list of teams who are getting stars for free keeps growing. We need to be on it instead of team that got worse.
