Frye 18min/Lou 10/Clark 12min/Amare 8min
Amare 26min/Lopez 15min/Frye 7min

Those minutes are horribly mismanaged. Amare would quit the team if he averaged 26 minutes, let along anthing less than 35. Same with JRich, At Least 28

Ben might take a 10 million dollar buyout??? Wow, that would be great. We save 18 million by trading Shaq and pick up a shooting big. There might be hope for Kerr yet. He drafted the guy I wanted, traded they guy I wanted traded and he signed the guy i wanted drafted...WOW!!

26+8 = 34 for Amare and 20+5 = 25 for Rich. Amare should be fine with 34 but I say Rich gets at least 30, Clark will only get about 8 minutes for the 1st half of the season at least though. But everything else sounds about accurate. If we get Chandler then he will get 25 min. and Lopez will drop the 7 min and Frye to 15 minutes.

Let's trade J - Rich for a defender at 2 and call it a day!

Don't forget, JRich didn't play late in games under Gentry.

Though I am happy with the Frye signing (still think I would have preferred Wilcox for his rebounding) but I can live with Frye. Hill and Nash are good re-ups too. I like that

I wish there was some way to have used Wallace's contract other then a pure salary dump. But if Chandler is not healthy and really after thinking about it Dalembert is not worth two years - okay, I can live with that

But Pavlovic - isn't there a team that needs a salary dump

Hollinger mentioned the Hawks trading Childress for Bowen and then cutting Bowen

Can't the Suns do this - Pavlovic for Childress.

Those two contracts are assets Sarver - use them like you got used in the KT trade

Yes, horrible mins for Amare who should get around 38-40 mins a night. 32 is a joke.

If you look at this, suns might have their best bench in a decade or more. Suns have defense and scoring on the bench, with a great mix of run and gun. nash is nash, Jrich is a slasher and shooter, hill can do a bit of everything and create for others, I look for amare to have a monster year and Frye to play a nice role for this team.

I like this team. Not a championship team, but I like the make up of it and think the suns have some nice options depending on which way they want to go with Amare and FA next year.

I don't know... I kind of expected around $10 million. What is he due... like $14 million this year.

Assuming he is planning on playing this year still, he would be foolish to take a buyout that, combined with a new contract, would pay him less than the $14 million he is due.

At best, in the current market, I think Wallace could get the MLE from somebody (around $5 million). So $10 +$5 would be a little bit more than what he would have made by not taking the buyout in the first place.

Of course if he really is retiring, that changes the picture entirely.

The only positive from Amare's injury is that he is well rested, and since it's a contract year for him he will prob explode this year

I want a defensive combo guard. A guy that can handle and run the offense. Daniels is ok, but the dude has a worse wrap sheet than JRich.

He publicily said he is contemplating retirement, and is grossly overpaid. In any other business he would get paid a few weeks/months severance and be on his way.

10million is ridiculous for someone who probably wont even step on a basketball court in the next year. He should take half his contract and be grateful.

Ugh bad news ...

I'm sure this is why the Suns ended up keeping Amare. They knew it was coming and that any trade attempt would be fruitless.
