LMAO. except it's only like 3 hardcore Toineheads that kick up the post count.

I do like the idea of replacing Cassell's shot selection tho. I guarantee Toine won't be afraid to shoot like Marbs was. Can't he play PG a bit? Pitino once said he was the closest thing to Magic or something...

I've still got my Walker sig just in case, but it just seems like we're beating a dead horse. He probably isn't ever going to come back.

Every month there is a 3 plus page on this topic. I love it, but he isn't coming back.

Sheed can do everything Antoine can and a hell of a lot more. No.

Last year I might have considered it, since we were that inept at times with the bench, but now: No, unless we have four roster spots open, he's willing to take the min, and we have filled all of our holes.

I would love to see Toine back in green! It would be great if he finished his career here with a ring!

Bring back Toine!

If you guys actually take a step back from the apparent absurdity of this suggestion, there actually has never been a better time to bring back Antoine than right now. Even when we reacquired him in 06 it wasn't as good a fit. It's not like we'd be asking him to come off the bench for a younger player like Al, he'd be backing up GARNETT, he couldn't possibly argue against such a situation. And he def wouldn't be on the floor in crunch time bcuz KG, Sheed, Pierce, and Ray are all higher on the depth chart unquestionably. I think it actually might be a good fit, and who wouldn't love to see Antoine finally get that ring alongside Pierce? That would be a beautiful site.

How about a 10 day contract?

Also maybe Marbury isn't comming back because all the threatening calls got to him. Toine was pissed he took number 8.

Sometimes he would call Marbury and not say a word and just breath heavy. That could be because he was eating a meatball sub though.

Hey if we can't bring back Baby, Toine is the perfect, mediocre rebounder/undersized "big" with no lift who likes to shoot from the perimeter.

Can have Toine at the minimum or Baby at half the MLE?

LOL, both of them also love to shoot when they shouldn't. Toine with his fastbreak 3's and Baby with 5 people around him.

You cannot be serious. Walker can't even beat Joes.. We might as well bring Larry back or Ainge both are probably better players then Walker.

I wasn't aware Walker was still in the league. And for the LLE? That might be too much for his ego to swallow..

Geeze!

Okay, let's bring back McHale #32! I hear he's out of work, he's had plenty of time for his ankle injury to heal, and I'm pretty sure he'd be as good Antoine is right now. Or how about Bill Russell, I hear he's available...geeze!

If there's one thing to be taken from this thread, it will be as an indicator of whether the fan base has moved on from their most divisive figure in Celtics history. Only 4 pages so far and no vitriol, so things are looking good...
