People need to realize it's the LA effect...the LA phenomenon, or call it something. Whenever a nobody comes to LA...all of a sudden people look at him and go DAMN this guy really has some talent and can play some ball!?

like Ariza....Mo Evans...people starting to notice Shannon Brown...Smush Parker lookin good UNTIL 06-07....really, there needs to be a name for this effect. It seems everyone who isn't anybody (except Kwame) on any other team seems to be a star while not being a star on the Lakers.

Ariza will have a tough time, what with one-leg McGrady and Yao's foot. Who is there on that team to give him an open look. Ariza seldom took shots where the defender was within 5 feet of them...and they were usually when the clock was running down or it was a needed shot

see, even the city haven't forgotten him yet. sniff sniff. What's even more sad is he didn't do anything bad... like complain or talk trash or cause grief. He was a hard worker, played to the fullest every game. Stupid a$$ agent. He's going to really miss us when he plays us during season.

i'm a bit disappointed ariza is going but i'm glad it's one less player of david lee's that the lakers are going to have to work with
