Sportsworld, you act as if firing Lou will solve all of our problems. Enough. Firing the manager is the easiest thing to do. Firing Lou won't heat up Soriano's bat. Firing Lou won't fix Fontenot's bat or Theriot's glove/arm. Firing Lou won't solve our injury problems. Who do you propose is made manager?

The manager is the one who puts Reed Johnson in the lineup against a right handed pitcher. The manager is the one who puts Kosuke Fukudome in the 3 hole. The manager is the one who decides to bunt with Reed Johnson against a lefty with a left handed hitter in Fukudome on deck like he did on Wednesday. The manager is the one who leaves Aaron Heilman in to fail. Yes it's not all his fault but the Cubs are underachieving this season and part of the blame needs to go to the manager.
