9/mil per plus signing bonus?

The thing is, I think KOC might be stupid enough to match.

This is not a good scenario. It will be an interesting couple of days.

This may just be the Blazers trying to force the Jazz's hand with a Boozer-Hinrich-Thomas deal.

Obviously a ploy to force Utah's hand in a trade. Hopefully KOC can find a deal that doesn't include Portland; that way they get nothing!

I'm pretty sure it's 7 calendar days. But if it's 7 business days that's where the "10 days" could come from.

I think the same. If such kind of trade doesn't pan out into the next days... well... Jazz should let Millsap go... in the long run I think this contract is goint to bite back Portland...

Anyway... I consider 36M + bonus for 4 years is overpaying Millsap big time; we're probably talking 10M per year average here... Brandon Bass is not a step back from Millsap and he signed four years for less than half of such figure...

Portland is playing with fire here... I say Jazz should let them be burned.

would be stupid not to match this, trade Boozer if that's what Portland wants.

tough decision as I have always as you guys know of AK-47 at PF. Trade Boozer and let Millsap leave lets that happen. Seems like Portland paying alot for a bench player. Maybe the goal is simply to get him out of Utah, and their owner, unlike ours, is rich willing to and able to pay any luxury tax.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Jazz will match and Boozer will be gone a week from now.

Whether that's what's best or not I'm not sure, but it's what I'd bet on happening.

If the Jazz match this totally crazy offer **** they are putting themselves on the verge of the projected 2010-11 cap space for 4 players (Kirilenko, Williams, Okur, Millsap - 52+M)... now THAT would be stupid if you ask me.....

doesn't Jazz have bunch of expirings next year? i don't think Jazz can find a big man that's capable of putting 15/9 on the open market for 8 mill a year.

I really think the Jazz end up putting the Blazers on a bad position here.... 9M per year plus signing bonus is way too much for Millsap.... if Millsap were a free agent out there I don't think the Jazz would be signing him for such kind of money.... and I think vast marjority of Utah Jazz fan base have to agree hat's huge money for player that would not put you over the top....

Return to Utah Jazz
