3 team trade is DEAD

Post#1 » by HolyToledo » Fri Jul 10, 2009 10:57 pm

3 team trade now dead, thus Blazers offered Millsap money. Jazz will have to sign and trade or keep Millsap or lose him for nothin. Trading Boozer will be difficult to as Blazers not going to help jazz to such a trade with their salary cap space since they would lose out on Millsap.

Damn the Blazers!!!!

Jazz can easily trade Boozer to Chicago without Portland's help.

Boozer for Tyrus Thomas and Jerome James is one example.

You're giving Portland way too much credit here.

Blazers signing Millsap doesn't not mean that it is dead at all. This is an entirely different deal.

Not an entirely different deal! Blazers keep Millsap then they are out of any further trade talks regarding Kirk H. That leaves the Jazz dealing solely with Chicago or GSW whereby Jazz likely wont save enough money in that deal to keep Millsap.

First of all, the Jazz cannot sign-and-trade Millsap once there is an offer sheet out on him. We either keep him (at least until December, then we can trade him) or we let him walk.

Second, if Millsap ends up with the Blazers, I very much doubt we will trade Boozer to Chicago. What does that accomplish?

Okay look people.

Utah matches offer with Milisap tomorrow. Back to square one now for Portland.

They can also get Memphis, OKC, or Sacto involved.

If Utah is going to match, they will make the Blazers wait until the 11th hour before matching the offer. That takes seven days of the free agency period away from Portland and effectively takes them away from going after any other players (ie: Lamar Odom or David Lee)...

I'm not sure but if Utah keeps Millsap, I believe they won't be able to trade him for 1yr unless he gives permission.
