Lakers Accept we really didnt have any one pegged at the 18th spot so we decided to clear some cap space by shipping out Julian Wright with it who would not be getting any playing time on this roster. As well we save around a 500K at picking at 26th compared to 18th. so all in all basically a 3.5M dollar saving that could be put towards getting a more proven player in free agency.

And also Lakers are shopping the 26th pick if you are willing to take Willie Green a mroe then capable back up SG in this league

San Antonio accepts. They add a late pick and a good, young prospect in Julian Wright to work towards being a full-time back-up SF. He is young and has mounds of potential. At worst, we see him as a Bruce Bownen type player.

I meant a defensive/spot up 3pt shooter. Wright is already an above average defender and just needs to work on his 3-ball.

I don't think he will ever be better than Bowen, I guess I just phrashed it wrong.

Phoenix and Washington have agreed upon a deal to send Thaddeus Young for Gani Lawal and the #16 pick in the 2010 draft. While it sucks to lose Thaddeus, were confident that we can find a good prospect with high potential at 16 and also like Lawal's potential. Were going to give them lots of playing team and see how they develop.

Thaddeus Young - $2,901,940
for
Gani Lawal - $1,085,400
16th overall pick

I have the cap space to absorb the difference in salaries. Wizards accept. I love Thaddeus Young, he's one of the few prospects I've followed since his days at Georgia Tech, and although I haven't seen that many 76ers games recently, they seem to love his potential. He's just another piece of the puzzle and I'm extremely happy to have him in Washington. This was the type of offer I'd been looking for in return for my draft pick, and although Lawal is going to be a great player in the future, and the 16 will likely be a solid player, I'm liking Young's future BIG time.

The Bucks accept this deal. We like Lopez and need some front court depth. Also had no clue as to whom we would select at 17 so its nice to have a little more time to think about who we would want since no one really grabs us at this point anyway.

The Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed upon a deal.

Indiana sends Hedo Turkoglu ($10,000,000) and Antonio McDyess ($4,124,520) in exchange for Vince Carter ($17,522,375).

Indiana Outgoing/Cleveland Incoming: $14,124,520 X 1.25 = $17,655,650
Indiana Incoming/Cleveland Outgoing: $17,522,375

Deal works.

We get more a traditional 2-guard that happens to be an upgrade as well. We have the option to use his value to find more youth or keep him as he's a terrific fit in the starting lineup. McDyess will be missed, but something says not for too long.

Phoenix and Memphis have come to an agreement to trade Jason Kapono $6,641,440 and the 20th pick of the 2010 draft For the 28th pick of the 2010 draft and the 37th pick of the 2010 draft. Phoenix absorbs Kapono's bad contract for a year, but we're not looking to be major players in free agency this offseason. Memphis gets out of Kapono's contract and picks up a late first and an early 2nd.

Cleveland accepts. We want to get younger players on cheaper contracts. We satisfy both goals in this trade.

MEMPHIS ACCEPTS. With Kapono gone, it sheds Memphis 2010 salary and allows us to go for 2 or more free agents this offseason.

If a team is going to trade cap space, you need to send in your cap numbers to me and I'll check against what I have this way a team doesn't trade away cap space that they don't have.

The Nuggets and LA Clippers have agreed to a trade.

Clippers trade/Nuggets receive:
Jason Smith $2,187,913

Nuggets trade/Clippers receive:
Cap Space via TE

Why the Nuggets do it: We are looking to fill out our power forward rotation, and I think that if Smith comes back from his injury well he can be a good backup power forward in the future for us.

The PHX SUNS AND LA LAKERS have agreed to a trade
LA will send/Phx Recieve
Baron Davis+ Willie Green + 26th pick in 2010 draft
13,050,000 + 3,976,000 = 17,026,000

Phx sends/and LAL recieve
Felton + Szcerbiak + Gragic
8,000,000 + 2,000,000 + 2,000,000 * 1.25 = 14,965,000

trade works as Phx still has capspace

The Lakers accept we wanted to get a younger pg then baron, we feel that Felton would be a great fit in LA for the long run as our starting PG, though baron is a great PG we feel that Felton is a great distributor of the ball and will complement Lebron's game nicely he reminds me of pgs like kidd and billups. Dragic also was a nice piece to get as he will temporarily fill in the backup point position, and Wally Z is actually one of my favourite players in the league and at that price i dont mind having him as my 3 pt specialist. We hate to lose the 26th pick but needed to unload willie green who lost his place when we aquired daquan cook.

and the lakers sill have their own second round pick which we will be willing to deal i think it is number 50.

Phoenix accepts. While Baron and Varejao would combine as being 2 of the worst contracts in the league, Baron compliments Bynum and Douglass well since both are 2's in a 1's body. Plus if Baron performs well, he might be tradeable for expirings down the road. And with the 26th pick, we get another chance at digging up a gem.
