I have heard from a couple of places now that the second year is when people really gain full athletic confidence. There are physical and mental barriers to overcome with knee ligament injuries.

I watched every Laker game last season, and one of the main points the broadcasters brought up when discussing Ammo after we aquired him was the fact that a torn ACL does take longer then one year to get fully healthy from. You are able to play before that, but you don't regain your full strength until over a year from the injury which is why he had no lift in his jumpshot and why the organization is hopeful he can return to form.

Offensively I saw some encouraging signs from Ammo in the limited time I took to watch the game today. He shot the ball well and thrived in catch and shoot situations as he looked for his shot most of the time but still played well within the discipline. There wasn't much to observe defensively since they were not running a set scheme and with most players hogging the ball to improve their stat sheets it looked more like a pick up game than an organized contest.

By the way I hated the big white guy that played for us just before the end of the half. He was an offensive black hole and couldn't understand that taking turnaround fadeaways wouldn't impress many scouts either.
