Barnes: "But Steve, I'll I'm asking for is the vet. minimum."

"Barnes beat himself up about missing an open corner 3-pointer with the game tied and 2.9 seconds remaining in regulation. And when he's not reliving that memory, he likely will think about how he took an inbound pass with the Suns leading by two and a 1.4-second differential on the shot clock and threw it back to Grant Hill when he was not looking. The ball went out of bounds, setting up the Deron Williams jumper that tied the game with 13.9 seconds to go in regulation."

1. At worst Solid, at best very good. Depending who he's guarding how the team around him.
2. Low. He has a tendency to make quite a few mistakes, and doesn't always make the right decision.
3. Sporadic at best. He has 3pt range, definitely. But he so far from consistent it's depressing.
4. Not a slasher. He will sit at the 3pt line, and occasionally will pump fake and go to the basket.
5. Good passer, but like I said in #2, he doesn't always make the correct read.

Barnes is good for being a role player but he tends to overshoot the ball and make dumb plays. He needs to realize what he is which is a role player and nothing more

And if we would have won this game, we would have made the playoffs.

Sad.

1- defense - fairly solid depending on who he is guarding, one of those "pesky" defenders, sometimes gets a bad rap for flopping therefore leading to bad calls against us sometimes at crucial moments in the game. Did surprisingly well at the 4 spot when Amare was out IMO, considering his size.
2-bball IQ - not the brightest bulb... lets just put it that way.
3-shooting - STREAKY (i guess he is trying to improve this from what I read above)
4-slashing - He has some moments, but they are few and far between and probably results of good passes/system play.
5 - passing - Makes nice long passes which led to many fast break opportunities for us, especially with both him and Barbosa on the floor.

Other notes:
-plays with toughness and heart.
-makes silly plays
-chucks shots (not a bad thing when he is on point)
-decent rebounder
-argues with the referees too much (he needs to just shut up and play)
-horrible tattoos
