I made the trade assuming Yao would be at 50% capacity and output for the 10-11 season. If we make a ruling on Yao, we'll have to make rulings on other players, and it destroys the point of voting. I considered this, and I think it's up to intelligent, logical write-ups from OKC to be able to argue that Yao is going to be a major contributor.

In other news, who else thinks Manu in this game cares if he's starting or not?

How should we figure salaries for players drafted in 2010?

You only have to have a cap hold for 1st round picks (unless you'll still be under 12 players), and I believe that it can be the actual "scale" amount, not 120% like the picks will sign for.

Right, we will use that for when they sign.

However, I don't think they have to sign before FA, and if they don't, then they just count as 100% of the scale instead of 120%. Check Larry Coon's FAQ if you want more info.

In regards to Yao, OKC won't get a injured player exception. Also use your own discretion on how well you think Yao will be in a year when the voting comes around. But be consistent as well in your voting, if you dock OKC points because Yao may be injured than take into affect players that are injury prone as well when judging comes around.

#31, #36, Mike Conley are on the block.

Also what penalities are there for teams that are over the lux tax?

In real life, contending teams have traded away players to simply get below it, so it's a big big deal. There are probably only 3-4 teams in the league that don't care about it...everyone else does.

f I'm under the cap, I know I can only sign with the available money, but can I trade for more? Say, a 2 mil deal for 6 mil? Also, if I'm slightly under the cap, and then use my Bird Rights to sign a player, do I then have MLE with which to sign a player?

The MLE is a cap hold for your team, so you would need to add that to your teams salary, teams under the salary cap usually waive the MLE so they wouldn't be able to use it.

I'll give anybody Thabo Sefolosha as incentive (S&T) if you take Acie Law and Alando Tucker. That's 3 young players for no return.

Ryan Gomes is on the block for teams trying to get more cap space.

His salary:

Third and fourth years are $1 million guaranteed only, final year $750,000 guaranteed only. All three years become fully guaranteed if Gomes is not waived before June 30th 2010

I have no problem getting more salary back. You can send me up to 5,581,250 salary in a trade for Ryan Gomes but i want player(s) better than Ryan Gomes in return if i am dealing him (obviously).

Considering Thabo's cap hold is 300% of the QO... aka around $11mil cap hold ATM.

POSTING ON BEHALF OF CLIPPERS GM:

ROKO UKIC - Is available for nothing. Teams looking for a cheap backup point guard with an expiring contract, ROKO is perfect. He makes only 1.4 mill and is an expiring.

SEAN WILLIAMS - A good young shot-blocking PF/C who is also expiring. He can be had for a nothing as well.

No longer listening to offers for Dwight. I got a couple decent offers but just not good enough to think about moving him.

My team is set up nicely for FA so no offers will be considered that cut into my cap space. Nate is still available though but the salaries have to be close.

What difference does it make if I S&T him? Your post here is totally useless, except in trying to somehow expose my hiding of Thabo's cap hold (which makes no sense since I'm S&Ting).
