GSW want Boozer

Post#1 » by HolyToledo » Fri Jul 10, 2009 6:52 pm

GSW are for sale and when teams are for sale new owners like it when there is not too much money committed to any players. Boozer has one year left which allows the GSW to make a playoff run in exchange for one of their long term contracts.

Boozer for Biedrens and Wright works

as does

Boozer for Maggette and Wright

Do you like these Boozer trade possibilities more and Boozer for Thomas and filler from Bulls/Portland/Jazz rumored deal?

I like Biedrens alot but I think Thomas has more skills. Supposedly, Thomas not upset if traded to Utah as he allegedly tweeted that he would love to play with Dwill.

Boozer X Biedrins is better than Boozer X T.Thomas....

I would take Biedrins over TT. Also I wouldn't mind sending Boozer to Golden State where they won't compete like the Bulls would.

Biedrins is great, I'd love to get him. I guess our front court would Biedrins/Okur, and we wouldn't really need to match Millsap but if we would, we could definitely play him about 30mpg if Okur plays half the time at C and PF.

I don't think GSW would deal Beans for Boozer, they wanted to for Amare but I seriously doubt it in a trade for boozer.

A combination or speedy's expiring contract , young guys like Brandon Wright, Azu and Belli or future 1st or 2nd would be likely. Since your trying to cut salary to affort Okur, AK and want to re-sign Milsap., plus you guys are UP there in team salary.

Okur is signed and AK is a big expiring next year which will be more than likely used as trade bait this year at the trade deadline or next off season. We don't want to give up Boozer for another expiring. We don't want Speedy's contract.

I agree with this. The Warriors considered Biedrins for Amare because Amare could come back to GS and play C full-time. Boozer can't.

And the Jazz are much more likely to trade for Speedy, a young piece or two, and as much savings as they can get, than they are for Corey Maggette. In fact I think we're more likely to let Boozer sit, then walk than we are to trade him for Maggette.

I posted this in a couple places, but have not gotten feedback from Utah fans.

Would Utah consider a Pietrus for Boozer swap?

Utah trades Boozer for Pietrus
Magic trades Pietrus for Maggette and Turiaf
GS trades Turiaf and Maggette for Boozer

doesnt work under salary cap as orlando doesnt have extra room under cap. This is the reason Jazz looking to a division rival in Portland to get a deal done as Jazz need to take back less salary then they give out with Boozer.

Orlando uses the TE to absorb Turiaf's salary.

Utah is probably looking to dump his salary, not take on additional players that make almost the same.

Maggs/Claxton would save you some money because Claxton's salary is paid for 80% by insurance

If the deal doesn't involve Turiaf I don't even want to consider it. Realistically of course if the trade involved B. Wright AND Azubuike I would change my mind, but I don't think GS is going to mortgage their future for Boozer.

Anything short of Deron to get Biendrins. Maybe Boozer+Kirilenko+Miles+Fesenko+future pick (?) for Biendrins+Maggette+Claxton+Azubuike. That would give us an awesome rotation (IMO) and save us about 4 million.

Biendrins/Koufos/Okur
Okur/Millsap
Azubuike/Maggette
Brewer/Korver
Williams/Maynor/Price

Boozer/Turiaf/Fesenko
AK/Randolph/Wright
Jackson/Morrow
Miles/Bellinellie
Ellis/Watson/Law

I wish they did though.

AK's contract is Toxic to GSW. We already have mags' contract that folks consider TOXIC as most.
GSW would love to get boozer to TEAM UP with Beans. We've never seen Beans with a dominant inside presence like a Amare or Boozer.

You think a combo of Speedys contract and young prospects like B.Wright, Azu, Belli and 2nd round pick would do it ?
