RC Buford appreciation thread

Post#1 » by Magz50 » Thu Jul 9, 2009 2:04 pm

This is well in order after possibly one of our greatest offseasons ever.

RC Buford, take a bow. Hope he wins Exec of the year finally.

He was already right there with the best GMs in the league. This puts him squarely at the top spot with 2nd (whoever that is) not all that close.

He's so underrated its not even funny. This guy is an amazing GM who knows how to build a winning team.

I will never forget how we lost Scola for nothing but Buford is usually pretty good.

What i like most about the spurs management is that they usually don´t overpay players like every other team.

Don't forget that Holt and the ownership group need major props for opening up the pocketbook for RC to operate.

It says alot that he is willing to pay the lux tax given that he is one of the most modest owners in the NBA. I can't say I am unhappy with the upper management.

I don't appreciate the fact that your FO is great. Not at all.

RC is the man but you have to give pop some credit too for his Vice President of Basketball Operations hat. They work really well together and always seems to bring in the right kind of players both on the court and off. I think if Blair pans out they way he should RC is looking good for GM of the year. Maybe we make one more big splash come trade deadline we'll have to see how our line up is doing then.

I thought this thread was going to be about Rodney Buford. I'm sorely, sorely disappointed.

Ok RC time to get blairs contract done. Low ball him the best you can because we are over the cap. Tell him we'll make it up to him on his next contract. Show him Malik rose contract so he knows we are willing to pay up...later of course.

Return to San Antonio Spurs
