I agree that SJax would be to our wing spot what Sheed is to our bigs... a starter-quality player coming off the bench who can provide defense and scoring. It would be fantastic. If we could get him without giving up any of our top 6 i think we have to do it.

and we would strengthen our league lead in thugs

i'm not really sure what the lower salary cap has anything to do with anything, since virtually all teams are over the cap anyways so it doesn't make a difference.

I'd take either... If we didn't have to give up Baby... Out of the two though I would take Maggette because I think he would be able to adjust better to a backup roll.

Both of these guys have crappy contracts, and both are at an age where a lot of wing oriented players hit injury issues and never return to being the same player again. There are the Reggie Millers, Ray Allens, Grant Hills, and Brent Barrys...but the Glenn Robinsons and Jamal Mashburns and Allan Houstons are more common and more in line with guys like Maggette and Jackson.

If I had to choose, Maggette is a year and a half younger and is a guy I could see contributing nicely enough in the right situation. I just really dislike Stephen Jackson, aside from his age. He's just not a solid team player, IMO, and I have trouble envisioning him as fitting in on a good team.

SJax is the leader of GSW, the go to 4th clutch man, their best defender, and their best playmaker.

Maggette is a selfish selfish ball hog who hasn't come close to living up to his contract.

SO I'd assume Maggette is available and SJax is off the table.

With the problems they've had with Ellis, S Jax is the closest they have to a franchsie player. And he can slide to the SF or SG as needed for the rookie.

I would do either of those trades...

and Id accept them very quickly..

I like Belinelli and Azubuike both...

I like getting rid of Scal..

I like getting something for Baby if we are losing him..

I love getting Maggette. I think his game will improve drastically. Makes Ray expendable after the season..
