Lets tank like the Raptors last season and get a top pick.

So does this officially make the Jays sellers? JP said that this stretch would heavily influence his attitude on the trade market...

i wouldn't sell yet, maybe the bats will heat up after the break, but after the Boston series he would have a better idea wither or not to be a seller.

I'd sell... Just trade away some vets like Rolen (while his value's still high), maybe Doc if we get a nice enough offer, so we get even younger and re-tool for next season. I mean if we stand pat we may go on a hot-streak at some point, like we usually do after the break, but it won't be enough to secure the wild-card imo. I mean we've seen this script before, might as well switch things up at this point.

Oh yeah, they are sellers now. They are 11 games back of the division and probably 9 games back of the wild card. It's too bad, this was a pretty good team that they are about to break up. I loved watching Rolen play.

Any move they make would hurt the team this year (but ideally help them in the future). That's the point of being a seller.

Of course, they could always randomly win 10 straight games like they did last August to kind of get back in the race, but we shouldn't be expecting anything like that.

that streak was more luck and chemistry starting to flow. i absolutely do not expect that. as much i wish it could help us the minute it starts i know it wont. thats why trading halladay for a bunch of prospects is ok with me.
