Trade Idea

Post#1 » by Papa Irish31 » Mon Jul 13, 2009 2:21 am

Boston Gives up: Scal, Tony, JR

Boston Receives: Wilson Chandler Jared Jeffries

Chandler can back up pierce and play big threes; jeffries plays decent d and can help in certain situations

new york gets rid of there only bad contract that goes past next summer

not ideal i know, but i think chandler could be a lot better than most of the free agent options out there

not bad. The Knicks will want to get more for Chandler, and they may. But getting rid of Jeffries is important to them for 2010, and they are going to have to sweeten the pot to unload Jeffries. They don't have many assets to trade.

They really like Chandler, and for good reason. I don't believe this trade would have any chance of happening (not to mention the numbers don't work), but Wilson would be a great pickup for the Celtics.

According to ESPN trade machine it does work.

i think they have proven twice over that they care more about clearing cap than holding on to prospects; plus he plays the same position as LBJ; so im thinking its quite possible

also it gives the celtics an expiring contract for the free agent i want them to make a run at; kevin durant

Asa new yorker, please trust me when I say that you DO NOT WANT Jefferies on this team. The guy is a space cadet. He plays "decent d" for a few possesionsa dn then his mind wanders off. He's terrible on offense, really awful. Misses layups with regularity, throws the ball out of bounds, has slippery hands and bad footwork. No sir.

Chandler is solid but NY will be keeping him unless something knocks thier socks off.

jeffries would be pretty much just a throw in to get chandler; he'd take over the 15th man on our roster spot

and this might be one of the last options i would resort to if i were ainge

I like Wilson Chandler, but I wouldn't trust him playing an important role on a championship team.

One of the more reasonable trade ideas I've seen, though I do think NY would want more to part with Chandler than just getting rid of Jefferies. Chandler would be a great guy to have on the bench though, he's a pretty decent all around player.
