Three team trade to get Noah

Post#1 » by statisback » Mon Jul 13, 2009 4:49 pm

by only giving up Lopez and Tucker... I know you would love this and benefits everyone

Suns trade Robin Lopez to Utah and Alando Tucker to Chicago
Utah trades Carlos Boozer to Chicago
Chicago trade Hinrich to Utah and Noah to the Suns

Lets make it happen!! :D

The Suns would be better off keeping Lopez. He's a good character guy and a true center, the opposite of Noah...

Eh ... Utah doesn't have much need for Kirk Hinrich. The reason Utah is looking to get rid of Boozer is because they need to slash payroll to avoid taking a huge tax hit. Hinrich's long contract makes it worse, not better.

Substitue Luol Deng instead of Kirk. I am sure Utah could use Deng's services. The trade works with Deng and Lopez going to Utah
Boozer and Tucker to Chicago
Noah to the Suns

Same point as with Kirk Hinrich. Luol Deng has a long, relatively expensive contract. They are weak at small forward, but still ... not sure it'd be worth it to them.

Lopez can be just as good or even better. I'm not a huge Lopez fan but he's 3 years younger, as mentioned before a good character guy, and he's bigger. If Lopez gets the same minutes as a starter I can see him putting up similar numbers.

I guess then the question is why doesnt Utah just keep Boozer since he is a FA after the season?

Well they are trying to resign Millsap, and from what I've heard Portland has offered Millsap a pretty good contract, which has a ridiculous first year salary so that Utah has to match it and pay more in luxury tax which they want to avoid.
Lets trade Ben Wallace for Carlos Boozer

I don't really want another PF to play out of position and crowd up the lane for Amare. I think Lopez will make some very significant strides this year with his defense. So unless we get someone like KT (which I like very much actually) I think we let the second year player spread his wings and grow his confidence............... I would also re-ink Stro Swift, could a be a very good b/u if he is on the same page with the team right from the start of training camp so he knows what is going on and can get accustomed to the players around him.........

Lopez could be a very good 'center' -- He's athletic and a very good defender who can only get better + he's only 21 and cheap... Plus, you can't trade a high flyer like this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7gIucaMUxQ

Why do you think the trade looks ridiculous???
We would want Noah and the Bulls would get Boozer as their low post threat.

You guys, please stop trying to trade Robin Lopez. He was a rookie this year, and i dont know if you were watching, our team went through a crazy year. As a rookie adjusting to the NBA and new system, and coach, he also adjusted to the fact that certian people on the team were dogging it to get the new coach fired. Trade rumors, superstar egos, injuries, coaching change, yet a new system and new set of responsibilities, as a rookie, after you weed out all of that B.S. he still progressed ( mostly under Gentry, and the uptempo, no pressure, go out and play kid style). Sometimes people cant see the forest for the trees. Lopez is 7"0 tall, has good feet, is athletic, has no **** ego and is willing to learn, he has shown he is tough, not big and soft, he has a mean streak that will grow with confidence and a stable enviorment (not last years enviorment), and he is just a kid. He will be better than Dalembert, if not now then soon because they have the same physical gifts but Lopez has a bigger frame and is smarter, while still athletic. Just like is done with most rookies, give him time to get stronger and more confident, im not saying superstar, we dont need him to be, but he going to be one of the better true centers we have hade here for a while. Fore the first time in like forever we have a young 7 footer to mold. He is big enough to play the leagues really bigs, and athletic enough to run with us and not slow us down in the least, if he pans out he is absolutely perfect for this team and system, and you people want to give up on him after one whirlwind rookie season, one he actually showed promise in. Leave him alone, let him grow.

Anyone know whats going on with Stromile Swift. Does he plan on playing next season, or is there just no team looking at him. If that is the case, I say we swipe him for veteran's minimum. I believe he still has his explosiveness and his wingspan is incredible.

If only it were this easy.

And to the "please stop trying to trade Robin Lopez": would you really not do this deal? Really? It's grossly in our favor. GROSSLY. Whether Lopez was adjusting or not, Noah is definitely better.
