Sign & Trade D. Lee For Felton

Post#1 » by Playermaker » Mon Jul 13, 2009 8:42 pm

Sign Felton for 32 million for 4 years and trade to Knicks for David Lee. Larry loves David Lee and will play a major role in his system. Knicks need young pg to run D'Antonio 7 seconds system; then MJ can sign Iverson and have AI and DJ run the backcourt for Larry

Feltons QO is 5.5mil; D. Lee is looking for 10 mil per. Felton gets paid; D.Lee excepts less and plays for his first NBA coach again. Deal fills need for both teams; Bobcats add depth and smarts in frontcourt; Knicks get their PG of future; which will make Felton a All-Star in 7 seconds or less(system)

Doesn't the S&T aspect muck up everything? Don't they both instantly become BYC?

Felton would certainly thrive in the D'Antoni system but Lee ain't worth 10m per. That's freaking outrageous. Plus who would be our backup PG if we traded Felton for Lee?

I'd do it if

a.) We signed Iverson and

b.) Lee accepted 7 mil a year deal.

So no.

4 years 24 million is less then the midlevel. Lee wants 10 million but you think he would take less then the midlevel which by the way he can get the midlevel from anybody.

We open up a big hole trading Felton without getting a "big point" in return to backup DJ.
DJs body will not hold up playing the minutes Felton did this last season without injury.
If we got Duhon with Lee for Felton and Nazr, we would get a veteran point to work with DJ and also a solid power forward in Lee we could use to rotate Diaw between 4 and 3.. and play point forward..

Absolutely..... Do not sign Iverson thinking he is the answer to ticket sales.. Hes a hasbend/ball hog who doesn't know the word "team". Why did Denver trade him for Billups? Why did Detroit dump him?
Think about it LB,Bob, MJ and Rod!!
Ps then I still like sending Okafore to Memphis for Gasol, filler
