Phx sends/and LAL recieve
Felton + Szcerbiak + Gragic
8,000,000 + 2,000,000 + 2,000,000 * 1.25 = 14,965,000

trade works as Phx still has capspace

The Lakers accept we wanted to get a younger pg then baron, we feel that Felton would be a great fit in LA for the long run as our starting PG, though baron is a great PG we feel that Felton is a great distributor of the ball and will complement Lebron's game nicely he reminds me of pgs like kidd and billups. Dragic also was a nice piece to get as he will temporarily fill in the backup point position, and Wally Z is actually one of my favourite players in the league and at that price i dont mind having him as my 3 pt specialist. We hate to lose the 26th pick but needed to unload willie green who lost his place when we aquired daquan cook.

and the lakers sill have their own second round pick which we will be willing to deal i think it is number 50.

Nets buy out the final year of Keyon Dooling's contract (only $500,000 was guaranteed).

The charlotte bobcats and Houston Rockets have agreed on the following:

Trevor Ariza - 8,000,000
Samuel Dalembert- 13,012,823
2011 First Round Pick (from Denver)
Total: 21,012,823

for

Richard Jefferson - 15,200,000
Andres Nocioni - 6,850,000

Total: 22,050,000

Deal Works!

We hate losing Ariza who has proven to be a stud, but we needed a proven scorer on the wings and RJ gives us that.

Moving towards youth post-Yao disaster has been a difficult journey thus far. However, we get rid of multiple years off a player without a spot in our rotation in Nocioni (valuable as he is) and shave one million off of our salaries. Dalembert also eliminates the need to sign a backup C, but parting with Richard Jefferson puts a dent in our hopes to quickly construct a contender after the Yao disasters, but it's remedied with insurance in the future in the future 1st.

The Atlanta Hawks and The Los Angeles Lakers have finally agreed to a deal

Atlanta sends

Antawn Jamison 13,358,905 and Atlanta 2010 2nd round pick

13,358,905 * 1,25 16,698,631 + 100,000 = 16,698,631 > 14,235,600

Los Angeles Lakers sends

Gerald Wallace 9,500,000
Joe Alexander 2,763,600
Goran Dragic 1,972,000

Total 14,235,600

It hurts to see Jamison go, he was a great fit in our team but he is getting old and we would like to get younger. Gerald Wallace is a fantastic player and we believe he would be a fantastic fit next to Kobe and Nelson. Marion would move to the bench and get the SG/SF/PF backup minutes. This trade makes our bench a lot stronger once we complete our 2nd deal filling the starting PF hole left by Jamison's departure.

The Atlanta Hawks and the San Antonio Spurs have agreed to a deal

Atlanta sends

6,315,840 - AI
4,385,000 - Ryan Gomes
1,105,000 - Joel Anthony
1,972,000 - Goran Dragic
854,389 - Jason Williams
Total: 14,632,229 * 1,25 = 18,290,286 + 100,000 = 18,390,286 > 17,619,954

San Antonio Sends

16,545,454 - Kenyon Martin
1,074,500 - Marcus Thornton
Rights to Tiago Splitter
San Antonio 2011 2nd round pick
Detroit Pistons 2011 2nd round pick
Total: 17,619,954

We replace Jamison's loss with Kenyon Martin and we add 4 young players. Tiago Splitter is my favorite basketball player and i have absolutely no doubt he will be a starter in the league. He is a 7'0" 250lbs center with a very good post up game and great post defense.

The result of this 2 deals is Atlanta gets younger and a lot more athletic and that's the main reason for us to do those deals.

PS if one of the 2 deals gets vetoed for any reason i would like to cancel both deals.

San Antonio accepts. We have been looking for a way to shed more salary and we cut about 6.5 million in salary (after Gomes is renounced) and we made room for Monroe to start, without Kenyon Martin getting upset and causing a locker-room problem.

We lose Marcus Thronton and a good overseas prospect in Tiago Splitter, but both would utilmately be buried on the depth chart.

EDIT: With that being said, San Antonio would like to renounce Ryan Gomes contract and take the 1m cap hit for him......

Sacramento, Minnesota, Houston have a three way to announce
*Was originally two seperate deals, but combined into a 3 way for simplicity, and 1 deal being contingent on the other*

Minnesota give: #40, Atl 2011 Unprotected 1st
Minnesota gets: #31, #36

Houston give: Mickael Pietrus, Nick Collison, Aaron Brooks
Houston gets: Troy Murphy, Mike Conley, Sac 2011 Unprotected 1st, Atlanta 2011 Unprotected 1st

Sacramento give: Troy Murphy, Mike Conley, 2011 Unprotected 1st, #31, #36
Sacramento gets: Mickael Pietrus, Nick Collison, Aaron Brooks, #40

Salaries
5.3 6.835 2.016 = 14.151
4.913 11.968 = 16.881/1.25 = 13.505

*Sacramento does this trade because we needed a true backup C which we found in Collison. We wanted a more veteran experience at the SF position which we found in Pietrus, and Brooks for Conley was a swap of two near equal talents that do different roles.

Nuggets trade/Clippers receive:

Why the Nuggets do it: We are looking to fill out our power forward rotation, and I think that if Smith comes back from his injury well he can be a good backup power forward in the future for us.

LA Clippers accept

I accept. The trade was difficult for us because Brooks is a Houston favorite, and Pietrus was a personal favorite. Collison had no place in our rotation, as good of a backup as he was, so we are glad to be rid of him. Our big man rotation is now solid, and the Brooks-Conley swap is sweetened with the 2 draft picks.

Since Brewer is on the rookie scale contract, his TO should have been decided in the 2009 offseason (which skorff had us do).

Not sure if Brewer had his TO picked up before I traded for him. I did pick up both him and Conley's TO but asked if I could rescind Brewer's since that vetoed Gasol trade was in limbo for so long that my hands were tied. Never got a reply on that issue though so I traded him just to be safe.

Brewer's team option had been picked up for 2010-2011 already.
