Let's Sign Rasho

Post#1 » by LyMinh » Thu Jul 9, 2009 2:09 pm

What better way to cap the perfect offseason than by bringing back a dominant Center who has previously led his team to a championship?

Well, i really don't think you need him, but then again the Spurs would love to have his signature stylish run, The Broken Hip Run!

Seriously - I wouldn't mind him at all to anchor the 2nd unit defensively, and isn't bad offensively

Pretty good option to touch up the roster more

It might be too hard for Pop to divide up playing time with Rasho taking up all the starter minutes. We might have to ask Tim Duncan to "pull a Ginobili" and come off the bench.

I'd love to have him back for the LLE, we could use a solid backup center and he fits the role perfectly.

This is the ideal scenario for me. It's really hard to see how he fits into the front court now though. The Spurs have already thrown guaranteed money towards Haislip as well as Mcdyess.

In an ideal world the Spurs manage to trade Bonner and then sign Rasho.

the southern dandy you have no idea stop embarrassing yourself, there's no way rasho comes here unless he's the star and you'd need another superstar with him e.g ricky davis but there's no way either of them come for less than the max so stop kidding yourself spurs fans

At this point in their respective careers, there is no way that Rasho is even close to Buckets. That statement itself made you appear foolish.

i didn't say rasho was as good as buckets, but they are both top 5 and rasho wants a shot at a ring and so does buckets so it makes perfect sense for them to want to play together

Toronto? The Rasho sweepstakes is the story of the offseason.

Yeah I am afraid the San Antonio 2009-10 championship season is going to have to forward with out trasho at the helm. Wish we could pick up this bum especially with how shaky Mahimni is but no way he's worth 4 mil. Thats with luxury tax add ons.

Rasho's coming to Toronto. Sorry guys, we need a beast in the middle more then you guys.

Fwiw.

Rasho Nesterovic, a veteran centre very much on the mind of the Raptors now, would like nothing more than to rejoin the team he reluctantly left a year ago.

"I never wanted to leave, it was just a matter of numbers and business, I understand that," Nesterovic said in a telephone interview from his native Slovenia yesterday.

"To come back would be great, I'd love to. Toronto is always and will always be my favourite city."

The interest, according to league sources, is mutual.

A lot of foreign players seem to like playing in Tor but I think most american players can't wait to leave. Doubt if Bosh sticks around after this season. GL trasho.

There's really no indication that American players can't wait to leave Toronto anymore, or that Bosh will leave. Maybe he will but that would have more to do with our team sucking or not, then being in T.O.

Anyways enough about T.O. I hope you guys crush L.A this year. You have a sick team imo.
