Doc and Danny in Classic NBA Brawl
Found this on the ORL board; worth posting here. I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but I miss the days when players left the bench to get involved in the fracas. This one gets out of hand by the 4 minute mark, with our own Rivers and Ainge right in the mix of course.

Wow, a crappy offensive foul called on the inbounds play to start it all and then a no call on KJ for the cheap shot on Doc Rivers. One thing hasn't changed, bad reffing.

If only they had Scalabrine, "the Enforcer" back then.

I agree that the NBA is too quick to blow the whistle.
Back in the old days, players settled things on the court. I couldn't believe that Parish didn't even get called for a foul for beating down Laimbeer. He would have been suspended 10 games in today's NBA.

Laimbeer was such a cheap shot artist that I think the refs prolly swallowed their whistles to teach him a lesson.

Come on. That's BIll Laimbeer. In a more just world the refs would've given Parish a hand and joined in.

In a just world, Parish would be going to the line for two. Laimbeer clearly went right at Chief's elbow with his face.

Damn straight.
Whoever edited that clip should've left in the replay with the angle from under the hoop.....where you see the "Provacatuer of the Hardwood" give Parish a shot to the throat while..umm.."boxing out".
