Trade Idea - BOS/DET/UTA

Post#1 » by Edug27 » Tue Jul 14, 2009 3:39 pm

I heard that the Jazz are interested in Big Baby, not sure how true that is, but heres a random trade idea. It might not work out money wise, but you get the basics to it.

Boston Gets:
CJ Miles
Jason Maxiel

Utah Gets:
Richard Hamilton
Glen Davis

Detriot Gets:
Carlos Boozer
Tony Allen/JR Giddens

Not really sure why Detroit would be doing that deal.

Supposebly Detriot was interested in Boozer, and moving RIP allows them to start Gordon. IMO, Gordon/RIP/Prince = has to be an odd man out.

not a bad trade, I just don't see what the Cs are doing there

Maxiel+Rip for Boozer+Miles might be enough for both sides.

yeah boston's role in this one doesn't make sense unless we're giving a draft pick to someone.

The trade idea generated from the rumors that Utah had interest in Big Baby, thus letting go of Boozer.

Count me in for this one. Haven't seen a deal on here I've liked until now. We still need a backup point, but I'd love to pick up Miles as our backup 3. Maxiell is a hard working, undersized PF- so we would get rid of some of expiring contracts in exchange for someone who can fill the BBD/Leon role. He brings a lot of energy and can do some things on both ends of the court.

I don't think this deal works just Utah and Detroit. Miles would be a bit repetitive with who they have at the 3: Prince, Austin Daye, and Dujuan Summers.

I'd love to find a way to work in a backup PG into this deal, but as is I'm a fan.

How about this:

Boston
Sends Ray Allen to Utah
and Gabe Pruitt to Detroit
Receives Tayshaun Prince and Rip Hamilton

Detroit
Sends Rip Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince to Boston
Receives Gabe Pruitt, Matt Harpring and Carlos Boozer

Utah
Sends Carlos Boozer and Matt Harpring to Detroit
Receives Ray Allen

Please. Enough with the Ray Allen trade scenarios. It's just not going to happen. Unless we are getting a young stud (ala Dwayne Wade), we aren't trading Ray before the season starts. I wish people could wrap their heads around that.
