Most quotable Shaddy lyrics include.....

"member tha time I posterized Kyle Korver"

"Lines wide open and we up by dos, wit 15 seconds left I better shoot from halfcourt

"I get off the bench its my time to shine, 3 quick fouls and im back on the pine"

First things first...I like Carney

He is athletic, can make things happen offensively and is fun to watch in the transition game! I also think they should get him back on the team...

With that said, I'm disappointed with my fellow Wolves fans with your dismissal of Brewer in order to make room for Carney.
---> 1st - they are completely different players and contrasting styles...
---> 2nd - Brewer has the potential to be a very good/great defender. Not ready to compare him to Bowen, but if you look at the lack of offensive game for both there may be a correlation. Last I looked, BB won a few games with the Spurs!
---> 3rd - talking about defense...despite the injury, Brewer would be the Wolves best defender starting next season. Many of us complain about the post defense, but I would contend that our lack of a perimeter defender makes the post defense irrelevant due to penetration, etc.
---4th - with Brewer's injuries we owe him at least one more season to see what he can do...

Still not sure why they didn't sign Abrams for the Summer League!

When you guys say Brewer is a good defender and has potential to be great, are we talking team defender or one on one defender? The Bowen comparisons are way off base IMO. I see Brewer being a very good/scrappy team defender. I haven't seen one game since we drafted him (I know it's still early) where I thought "wow this guy can be an elite man defender". Am I way off in saying this? Could Brewer really compare to elite wing defenders like Bowen, Battier, etc?

Well, look at the bodies of the great perimeter defenders that you all compare Brewer too. All those guys are extremely strong and well built. Brewer, not so much. When he has the strength like those guys, then we can start to talk.

Anybody else hear the PbP guys saying that Brewer could bench press 185 lbs 16 times? That would be unexpected with how skinny he is and how long his arms are.

Notice how he said "18 times", but not "18 times in a row"

Sorry, I was unclear. There should have been quotes around "unexpected" as in "really really hard to believe"

He did 11 during the pre-draft workouts the year we got him. It's not hard to believe that he got stronger.
