-I entirely agree with your last point Pete. Gerald hasn't spent his time working on the right things.
I follow Gerald because I believe players are a product of their environments for the most part. There are exceptional guys, the LeBron's, Kobe's etc who would have been successful no matter where they'd gone, but I think the vast majority of the NBA is full of guys who could have been out of the league if they had ended up in bad situations. I still think GG has a few tools that can make him a solid player in this league, so I'm of the belief that if he ends up with the right coach, the right team, he'll be a contributor. He couldn't do anything.
Bad at rebounding, Bad at assists, Horrid Defender, Awful Dribbler...
GeraldGreen poster.. Do you realize that Ainge picks guys from college that excel in many areas. That is how he finds the Rondo's and Al Jefersons.
AGAIN, Ainge picks guys that excel in many areas. Gerald sucks in most areas other than shooting/dunking.
Ainge picked Gerald as well? And you're right that Gerald sucks at all those things, but he can still shoot and he can still get out on the break, and a lot of guys have made careers of that in certain systems.LOL. Point and laugh. What is your obsession with this horrid basketball player? You should get some counseling. Will you stop watching the L when he is out of it in 2 years? LOL
I suppose when the Celtics suck and you're following them everyone should point and laugh at you? Will you stop watching the league when the Celtics rebuild?
I like to follow a player's career as much as I do a team, it's more interesting for me, as teams are becoming nothing but a group of mercenaries to me these days. Yah, Gerald's hit a rough spot in his career, but I'd truly deserve to be laughed at if I just hopped off the bandwagon because of it. But yah, shame on me for supporting and defending a player that gets endlessly criticized around here.
Actually, you get laughed at because you persist in defending a player who's now proven at four stops he's an incompetent NBA player.
This is another example of why I loathe David Stern. People have lost all understanding of intelligent team basketball, and instead stick to this senseless loyalty to players who simply cannot play.
Thanks, Stern.
In the meantime, Gerald Green, just go away.
