On the Celtic's front I would love to sign him for the LLE which is more than the wire tap says NYK is offering.
On a global front, I wonder, A) how many NBA players (note I did not say superstars) they will attract to play in Europe with big dollars. B) how long they will be able to afford to do so. I've never been to a Euro game but find it hard to believe they get as many fans as in the U.S.A. or that they do as well on T.V. I imagine total team payrolls are still quite a bit lower than in the NBA so they can splerge on the occasional player.

unlikely at all to happen. he's getting a reported 10mil/2year offer from a greek team(guessing thats in euros and w/ the team paying the taxes).
those european teams just have too much money and almost no limits to throw around at NBA FAs.

Re: Nate Robinson
To be honest while it is ridiculous to cry for pro basketball players, restricted FA sucks. The system is designed so that the team with the players rights, the team most likely to want to sign him, has a huge financial incentive to not offer the player a fair contract. The players that are impacted the most are the guys that are probably only going to get one contract and the only thing they can do is go overseas. The union really has screwed these guys by not fighting for something that makes it more equitable, they should at least have to give these guys a QO equal to half the MLE or something not $100,000 over the minimum.

Can we make offers to Nate and David Lee? The Knicks will be foced to match them that would reduce Lebron's chance to NY? LoL

They will attract a lot. This is only the beginning.

One can make the statement that THEIR fans are better than NBA fans.
Basketball is the second most popular spectator sport behind football in Europe.

It's my dream to move to Boston and form a fanclub of crazy fans like in Europe. It's on my 10 year agenda.
