Good video. That headlock/neck crank proved to be very effective. Brock nullified every option Mir had.

Brock could be a game changer in how to handle the half guard. His strength makes it easy, but the techniques can really eliminate the desire to transition to side control or the mount.

I agree 100%. IMO, you don't stop fighting until the bell rings or the ref stops it.

You guys are seriously overacting. Did you self-righteous people even consider that it might be easier said than done? We are merely spectators and it is so easy to judge things from this perspective. It makes it look so simple. But in reality, when you are in there fighting, your main instinct is to strike when you get the opportunity and finish the fight when you can (and do whatever it takes within the rules to achieve that). That is exactly what a fighter is doing when he is throwing down punches or looking to follow up on a downed opponent. You can never be sure, ever. How many times have we seen a fight turn around when fighters who are seemingly 'winning' fail to commit or follow through? So many potential TKO's have been squandered when a fighter was unable to capitalize on the opportunity or go in for the kill.

In real-time all these guys have are split seconds to make decisions. You people are expecting a guy to make these considerations in that time frame, when the first thing on his mind, is knocking the opponent out and actually winning the fight. If you are expecting that sort of discretion in the heat of a fight, then you are going to be disappointed. It wasn't the first time that happened and it won't be the last time it will. Get over it.

That's what referees are for, to intervene in situations and make judgment calls because the fighters involved may not be able to do it themselves. These fighters do not have the time to process all these things while simultaneously trying to avoid getting their teeth knocked out their mugs. As long as the fighter is not disobeying the referee's orders or beating an opponent even after the fight has ended, then it is perfectly understandable to keep getting at it.

If you think Henderson is a douche for saying the things he said, then fine. But if you are actually saying that a fighter is a douche for doing what he did, then you are watching the wrong sport. You guys might as well berate Gonzaga for hitting Cro Cop when it was obvious the guy was out (and his leg was even twisted lol). Didn't seem like anyone was complaining then.

I can't believe any of you would actually think that when he landed the right on Bisping (in that split second before he followed up), he was thinking "Ok, Im 100% sure he's out, so this one is purely for revenge". Give me a break. Maybe he already had the feeling Bisping was out, but there was no way he was 100% certain, and able to plan a calculated "vengeance forearm shot" at the same time. That would require some serious mental processing You guys really think so?

Take the comments into context as well. Fighters with bad blood always equate knocking the guy out or beating him up as "vengeance". Dan was doing the same, and he said it himself, it's the comments that blew this thing out of proportion. Not the act itself lol.

Controversy and unsportsmanlike conduct aside, Henderson's flying punch is still rooted in my brain along with crocop's LHK to igor, Fedor's gnp to Big Nog, Randleman's suplex just to name a few. Just something that I could watch over and over and admire its greatness.

You forgot Gonzaga's high kick to Cro Cop and Scott Smith's broken rob KO to Pete Sell. But, I agree. It was a very memorable moment in MMA.
