GORTAT...I think an ORL fan thought up Pietrus and Gortat for Richardson.....

Sign me up.

Pietrus defends well and can hit the 3-ball, Gortat is unhappy where he is at because he won't have hardly any minutes, but in PHX he could start or have big minutes at the backup spot. Move Frye over to backup Amare, while letting Lopez and Gortat share minutes at C- 24 min a piece. Get Clark some minutes at the 3 spot.

How about this lineup running during the game sometimes:

Nash
Pietrus
Clark
Stoudemire
Gortat

That would be a long, balanced defensive team on the floor....and we could still run.

No way. Pietrus is an even more streaky shooter than Richardson, and isn't nearly as productive if he plays more than 20 minutes a night.
I think the Suns actually picked Gortat at 57 a couple years back in the draft.
I don't think Gortat is gonna be anything but a backup center, he was looking for a big paycheck I don't expect him to play nearly as good as he did last season.
Gortat doesn't have much of an offensive game too, I think he would hurt the SSOL theory we got.

Wanted Pietrus here a year ago ..... exactly the kind of player we need
Nice deal, IMO

I think Gortat would be a nice hustle piece next to Stoudemire. A poor man's David Lee perhaps.

Pietrus would look great in a PHX jersey. He's a gritty defender with a great motor. The guy was relentless in his coverage of the King and also made sure to dish it back on the other end. Again, love the hustle; get's his hands up on everything and has great anticipation.

From a defensive stand point I see Pietrus coming here. I'm just thinking Gortat will become useless because he has that contract that last like 5 years. I don't think the Suns want to commit to that.

I think so long as Gortat plays decently he'll be moveable. It's not a trade-killer contract, but it's close. Even so we've seen that people will always spend for a half-decent big - hell, we're talking about sam Dalembert coming here for god's sake.

I think the Suns are good in their frontcourt right now. Everyone is underrating Channing Frye and how well he will do in the Sun system. I think he will beast. This is what I see happening
Nash-15 PPG
Richardson-18 PPG
Hill-12 PPG
Amare-30 PPG
Frye-12 PPG
Barbosa- 16 PPG

Those guys should put up consistent numbers. The rest of the Suns I'm not too sure about.

Why would Orlando want JRich ? They have Rashard at SF, VinceC at SG...w Redick and Pietrus to back them up... Bass Anderson, Gortat, and Howard as Bigs...Nelson and AJohnson... thats a solid 10.... why mess it up.

just another JRich Pipedream.

ORL has done a nice job this offseason, haven't they. I don't think it gets them back to the final, but they're solid
