OT - RJ Cancels $2M Wedding

Richard Jefferson cancels his posh Manhattan wedding at the 11th hour without even alerting some of the guests, The Post has learned.

Jefferson's decision to break off the wedding to former Nets' dancer Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols was so last-minute that some of his oblivious friends had already shown up last Saturday at the swank Mandarin Oriental in Columbus Circle for the $2 million wedding that never happened.

Jefferson dumped Nichols just before the weekend, according to sources.

The would-be bride was stunned, but "not entirely caught off-guard," by Jefferson's unsportsmanlike conduct, according to a family friend.

"She just wants to keep this as quiet as possible and move on. She's doing just fine," a Nichols family insider said.

Yeah his GF was H-O-T. I wonder what made him call it off. That late in advance, I doubt he's getting much of that $2,000,000.00 wedding bill refunded.

Smart man!

If I was an athlete in any professional sport, I wouldnt get married until I was close to retiring ala Jeter.

No reason to put yourself into awkward and temping situations for no reason.

As for the $$$, yes it is a lose, but the misery would have been great then the $$$.

The report said Jefferson made up his mind after a tense Fourth of July weekend. He told the newspaper he chose to tell her via electronic communication be cause "sometimes you might write an e-mail to get your thoughts down right."

The newspaper said Jefferson also confirmed said he is giving Nichols a "six-figure" settlement so she can get on with her life.

Jefferson was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks last off-season by the Nets, the team with which he spent the first seven years of his career. In June, Jefferson was traded to the Spurs.

This just gets more amusing/sad the more I read about this. No offense Richard, you're like 27/28? I still support you on the court, but be a man. I'm sure you can take a punch from a girl.

He insisted a rumor he's gay had nothing to do with the breakup.

"I'm not gay," Jefferson said. "That couldn't be any further from the truth. I have nothing to hide."

To be honest all these years I haven't worried about Jefferson being gay but you on the other hand... :lol:

Have you seen all the girls Jeter has gone out with?

Jeter understands. Most athletes learn the hard way. You will get pu$$y thrown at you every where. why settle for 1?
